I think i favor the 'Strikethrough' option though...

Not only would this be harder to code, but it would make it much harder for devs to balance and tune certain raid encounters.  Plus, we'd get little/no benefit from mobs with little/no melee mitigation.

I love the idea of monks being able to fight through the defenses of their opponents, but in terms of game mechanics, it would be tricky.  Increasing damage from secrets would make it easier to increase our dps more precisely.

Alternate suggestion... figuring this is an ability with high cost, and low reuse... thought perhaps we could use an ability that would allow us to temporarily go all out,
SDC 1: 1 min duration: +X% damage, +Y% crit, Rune (absorbs # pts damage per hit), Immune to knockback
SDC 2: 1 min duration: +(X+10)% dam, + (y+5)% crit, Rune (absorbs 2# pts damage per hit), Immune to knockback/Stun

Just throwing this out there, we can brainstorm a variety of ideas, then work out which we think would work best Smiley

My three ideas:

- Raw +INT and +fire resist (not too sure about the spell damage, am only half convinced it has an effect on secrets)
- A fire resist buff + a chance to proc a -20% mitigation debuff... proc chance of about 30%.
- A buff that applies a random weakness on the mob every time you hit it. Might be hard to code.

All of them permanent or using the same approach as Iron Hands.

I would like to see something like

Sun Dragons Corona - 10% chance to Proc - Sun Dragons Corona 100% accuracy, strikethru and global refresh timer held for 10 seconds, Or instead of global refresh nix, do 100% endurance reduction or +50% refresh haste

INT deffinately affects secret damage. And flames caps out at 600damage, just FYI.

i dont think flame caps at 600 cause mine is 720, and with buffs i get it up to 1000

I should have said spell damage focus. I know INT affects secrets.
