Okay so in the spirit of fairness i leveled a rogue to 35, and while not end game, the level 35 rogue has probably the same dps as my monk did at 45 (ie pre fist of celerirty, errant strike etc).  I did it mostly as a comparison so i can see what would be reasonable things to ask for.

1) Fist of celerity - 30 secon duration, 6 jin cost.  This makes it identical to errant strike.  While i know drunken lack the most in dps, they have to use errant strike and celerity just to keep up.  That being said, fist of celerity is a generic monk buff and as such should be just as good as the drunken only version.

2) Reed in the wind - 25 second duration (id prefer 30 since its learned and that would give us an edge on rogues not just make us equal) The skill is identical (and worse as far as duration) then the rogue version.  Reed in the wind 3 while nice now, is a learned ability with a shorter duration then the rogues version they get from a trainer. 

3) Missed attacks - This is more of a global thing, but i feel a 5 min skill thats parry/dodged should be 2 min 30 sec reuse, give me a break waiting 5 min because hit 2 of PEH misses even with a 100% avoidance debuff?

4) Three finger strike - please up its duration to 8 or 10 seconds, make it so it only effects the monk if you have to, but i cant tell you how often i either miss on hammer strike, or the avoidance debuff runs out before PEH and thus i miss that

5) secret of transcendence - if its gonna be called a secret, i really would like it to be until canceled.  It adds 100 less dmg then secret of ice, and a 5% dmg increase and costs 8 jin.  Theres virtually no reason to use it.  Leave the + spiritual alone, increase the dps mob to 10%, and make it until cancled.   As is, secret of flame adds roughly 1k dmg per hit with raid buffs, this adds about 300, plus the 100-200 from the 5% dmg.

Drunken monk suggestions:

Fool hardy swagger - change it to 20 end cost, and either make it instant reuse or fix the issues with it not working.  As is the skill gets resisted by the tank or something because about 80% of the time no agro is transfered.  make it instant reuse so we can spam it till it works, THEN make it like the acc / crit buffs where once it works it cant be used again for 30 sec.  (aka like jeering kick atm)

Jeering Kick - since its now on a 30 sec timer for the hate transfer, can we get it upped to melee + 200 instead of just 200? then there might be a reason to press it.

staggering punch - far fetched but any shot at getting it made 8 second refresh so it lines up with crescent kick? just a small nit picky thing i wanted.

slap hands - fix it so i stop taking dmg.  It says i counter for 400-500 but i take that dmg not the target.

Having played a Tuurgin shaman for 26 levels now, I'm a bit taken aback by their huge soloability. Where they might have less DPS than a Monk, they make up for it by having as much mitigation and more (+5% from Tuurgin form, +AC from buffs), healing and even free healing (Boon of Bosrid, 160 HP healed every 4 secs for 2 Endurance, no reuse time, runs out when Endurance does). I have soloed a yellow four-dot mob today, being left with 5% power in below average. Yellow. I also tried soloing a level 40 4-dot named with my Dragon in defensive stance, using Secret of Ice and everything else at my disposal. I failed - and that's in yellow gear.

My suggestion: similar to Boon of Bosrid, update our Dragon Stance to add at least 200 HP / 2 secs. Tuurgin form itself even comes with HP regen as well, regardless of stance - so Dragon stannce at 200 HP /2 secs at 50 is hardly overpowering. Heck, it doesn't even need to be for Dragons as such - why not make it an activatable ability for ALL Monks?

Yeah i know everyones gonna whine and say blah blah group content is buged but i agree 100% with you.

Drunken/harmonious monks i can easily solo 42 5 or 6 dots at lvl 50.  Dragon i can only do it if the mob dies in under 30 seconds.

I find it interesting that shammy gets such a powerful skill.
My Warrior just got Grim Determination, it costs energy and has a 60 second recast timer...you know what it does?  For the next 6 hits on me i heal for, get this, 78 points of health....at 20 that barely even covers a 2 dot mobs hit, thats their answer to the Pally heals and DK self heals?!

i was talking to a harm monk lvl 50 in apw after watching him  solo one of the mobs on the dock  at entrance there i tell it was an awsome sight  most liky he had grp buffs ect but still did an awsome job.

but ant way we told each other what styles we were which im dragon ect he said he was thinking bout switching.
to dragon cause we do 90k damage and he said he was only getting 20k with his style.

so that's an option i'm looking at see'in how we have another dragon monk in the guild for raiding im thinking two diff styles would be better?...

#2 he said that his style harm is unmatched by anyother style as far as  get this now " service abilty"

what harm monks can do in that area i have no clue there tight lipped bout that  Lips Sealed.

i mean i can do the stone stance  but what good is that if the mobs club isnt made out of fire or ice ,its just made out of plain ole wood.

i can go dragon stance but what good is that if im waiting on a proc
the mobs hits me for 500 pnts a shot so hp regneration not gonna help much now i can out put a lot damage but like fuji was saying if mobs are not gonna die in 30 sec .

now giving us damage out put to beat the 30 timer so to speak is a little over board tanks are having a problem with holding mobs with casters crit like crazy ect so im wondering what can dragon monk acuire to prolong a fight ?

how bout  with pushing hands we have a buff that slows the mobs melee damage?.ithink if we get something that will help us dragon monks prolong the fight let some timers refresh ect
 we would be good with some types of buffs for diff things
....just an idea  Wink
