Building a Kojan monk(11 atm) as my secondary toon, guild needs more of em for APW and high end.  Questions i have are;

1.  Do all monks Kick target outta stance or is it a Path specific skill
2.  How do the 3 paths compared to each other DPS wise
3.  Adv/Disadvan of each in a raid situation
4.  How many weapons can a monk max skill in
5.  Do H2H weapons DPS aswell as Bladestaff/Martial Staff

Any other advice or insights anyone feels like droppin in here would be greatly appreciated.

Thnx in advanced for your time.

1. yes

2. Not much difference as far as i can tell.

3. Only play harmonious myself, but i'm very happy with it. you can switch style if you don't like your lot.

4. can max 4 weapon skillls

5 H2H don't do as huge a damage numbers, but they crit more so it probably evens out, especially for a non-harmonius monk. Harmonious monks crit rate is capped i think even without handwraps.

As a side note, crafted handwraps of striking are far superior to any other H2H weapon, so I only raised wraps, along with bladed staff, shurikens and martial sword.

I realise this ignores martial staffs, but in my mind a martial staff is a lower damage version of a bladed staff, useful for procs but not worth exploiting via high skill for max damage.

1. all monks get it
2. dragon is supposed to be highest dps, but they need to be able to use aoe attacks to get their best dps
3. dragon is dps, harminous monks add debuffs (can always keep up 3, 5 about half the time if you're not tanking), drunken have taunts and aggro control so can offtank
4. 4 weapon skills maxed, 5th almost maxed
5. think the common wisdom is bladestaffs for harminous, h2h for the other 2, ymmv (not a big difference)

2) Currently dps goes Harmonious>dragon>drunken up till 50, then its harmonious/dragon./drunken are al equal sadly
Dragon is SUPPOSED to be the top dps, we give up a lot, and get very little in the dps deprtment hopefully this wil change
Harmonious is supposed to be more dmg then drunken less then dragon and have debuffs, currently its pretty much the top dps class because of a borked dot they got that does way to much dmg but no one wants to nerf even though its blatantly over powers dragons.
Drunken is supposed to be the tank, but with 3.3 its a little iffy, they can still hold agro, but no where near as effectively, fool hardy swagger needs to be fixed so it adds agro correctly

5) All forms use bladestaff./ handwraps for dps, martial swords for tanking.  Occasionaly people throw in claws & ulaks for the quest weapons

Good info so far, really appreciated.  Another question, thinking of a stat progression of 4/4/4/3 Str/Con/Dex/Int, how does that sound as a layout?

humans can do 4/4/4/3 --> personally i dont play humans because they are jokers, skilled at all master of none.

While the 4/4/4/3 setup is nice, and those are the right stats to work on, i find humans lack in the stat max.  Id be careful because not adding 5 per level as a human means you will be considerably low on str/dex/con compared to other races.

I prefer 5/5/4 setup for humans, while other races can get you say 6 in str it usually means they get only 4 in dex, so I lost an str but gained a dex and I find both stats important so like to keep both above the standard '4' per lvl.

Since the change to our Secrets, is it worth going Int instead of Con or is the damage increase to our secrets pretty insignificant and so is Con still the best choice?

Well for the non humans we put 4 str/dex per level and 2 con, so we have 80 points to put into int or con.

For humans if u do 5/5/4 you get 160 points to put into int or con.

80 pts from con to int took me from 330 ish dmg to 600 dmg.  So id assume going up an extra 80 would boost it to 900ish (secret of flame).  And thats per hit so thats a lot of extra dmg,

It all comes down to if you pull or not in raids, if you do id max con for hp and resists.  If your just dps, id drop 160 points into int in a heart beat just for the dmg bonus.
