Have we ever revisited the idea of additional/alternate weapons for monks?  Just never understood why we needed 3 seperate hand weapons (handwraps,claws/ulaks, knuckles).  I mean, yes keep those, but i'd prefer them lumped into one skil category, and the graphics altered so you can tell which is being used.  Though that might be a setting thing, on my screen they all look like a form of looser fitting brass knuckles.  Would love to see those other 2 skill areas used for other tradiitional monk weapons.  I've noticed many times on my blood mage that there's some interesting looking animations for dual weilding batons.  I miss Batons Cheesy.  Could have batons/clubs as one of the other categories for added variety.  Assuming the animations are already in there would just take some code changing no?  And i mentioned before in another post a while back there's already Sai's in game, though i'd personally drool over an opportunity to dual weild some nunchaku  coolsmiley

I know there's alot that we already need fixed, but sounds like alots coming.  And since they've stated they want to improve the graphics in game, and put the sexy back in... why not throw in some coolness to boot.  Of course fix the issues first, but there's other teams that could get a leg up on other things to be added into the game eventually.  Once the tutorial island is done that is Smiley.
Just trying to come up with some more ways that prove Monks are the Coolest class in the game!

I made a similar post over on the Vg forums. But my request was based on the fact that pretty much all of our dual wield weapons have lame graphics =/

it'd be great to get some cooler graphics

The fabeled one from APW is super sweet looking, I would not call it monkly but is pretty damn cool.

The legendary APW one is really pretty nice too. It's the one you may have seen before. It has a flat surface with a bed of small spikes on it but in addition has a very large rep smaokey particle effect.

I think particles are the only way to make the current h2h weapons even decent looking. I guess they're not supposed to be big or anything like that cause that'd sort of defeat their purpose. But something a little more intricate than what often appears to be a stone tied to a stick and taped to the hand.

I'd agree there isn't much you can do to make the hand weapons appear differently... though having some claws on the claw weapons is a start.  Maybe some that appear as punch-daggers... and to be honest, i think handwraps, shouldn't have much in the way of graphics at all.  But i also think all of these should be under one skill set.  Sure i know there's a difference in the way they're wielded to a degree, but for the games purpose, why can't hand weapons be lumped together to give us a few more choices.
I'd love to see some particle affects on legendary weapons, if my handwraps had a glowing aura around them it'd rate high on the coolness scale for sure.  But i'd like a few alternative choices for weapons in general.  Staves are cool, Sword-staves are cool... martial swords yep yep... but do 3 skill sets have to be devoted to 3 types of hand2hand weapons?  When my groups running about, and we come upon a club drop... the first time said ooo, gratz to the monk... but wait, monks cant use clubs, or batons... just didn't make much sense to me.  And on top of that, i'd love to see myself spinning around, tossing out kicks and smashing batons upside someones helmeted head... that'd ring their bell eh.  I just would rather prefer some variety to our combat approach.  Why do martial swords have to be 2 slot weapons ?  We weild them in a single slot... im sure it's due to the style we use while employing them... sword in one hand, other hand out for balance... but what if we had smaller swords, one in each hand, or 2 kamas.. or tonfu's... i'd just like to see other choices for our weapons, some graphics that match what those weapons are.. and have a way to differentiate my combat style from every other monks.  For all it's graphic intensity, there's so little options in how characters appear compared to each other.  And moreso how we move in combat... i'm often grouped with 2 other monks and a disciple, and it's not as cool when suddenly we're all line-dancing in battle because there's no variety offered.
