Well they fixed whirlwind for that reason specificly, so i doubt they would deem it ok to use the dragon ae to do the same thing.  Infact i wouldnt be suprised if it was changed rather soon to match whirlwind.  Then you have no method for fast jin gain, and aspect of the spirit dragon is back to being a useless skill.

If you have 20 jin and use the inital 8 to invis, you lose 1 jin/ 30 sec. so if invis lasts longer then 2 min (reasonable assumption) you can no longer relly on a second invis.  Not only that but once they fix dragon sweeps the tail (and yes it needs a fix to prevent monks from filling jin with no real penalty, same reason whirlwind was fixed) youd have a skill thats back to being better off as an end skill.

30 sec of invis (actually geting 30-45 with end regen now) with a short 9-12 sec cool down to get another 30-45 sec of invis isnt bad, infact its quite reasonable.  As long as you FD at 10% end, you wont agro 99% of the time, and  poping it again once your 100% end takes a whoping 9-12sec wait.

I understand the desire for a longer duration invis, dont get me wrong, even the levitate portion.  I used to use the levi portion to go from NT to the SW swamps/APW area faster, but pick and choose your battles i guess.  Ill give up my levi and potentially longer duration invis for a short duration reliable invis thats quickly reuseable without using a skill thats going to be fixed.

I agree, the 8 Jin is too much. I just hate to see everything on endurance, specially abilities that have a mystical quality to them, where you think someone changing form to a encompass the abilities of a spirit dragon wouldn't be on the same thing that i use to swing my staff, or kick the mob.

I would like to see the cost reduced to something reasonable, 3-4 jin and have its longevity more reliable.

And no, at 2+ minutes you can't rely on a second invis, but you should be able to get where you need to go in about 2 mintues.

same reason whirlwind was fixed) youd have a skill thats back to being better off as an end skill.
If that was the reason Whirlwind was adjusted, it's not a valid fix. Requiring you to be in range of mobs would have been more valid, as the "solution" they chose, limits what you can in combat (seeing as you need to use the more expensive Dragon AE now to initiate combat).

Anyway... I don't particularly need either invis or levitation. They might come in handy on corpse runs, but with the Producer's Letter, who knows whether corpse runs will soon be a thing of the past or not, anyway? Then invis would basically just be a tool to get you to a group that's inside an area where you cannot be called. Very limited utility at best, especially considering it will last 30 seconds...

personally ive bought the tablets of invis since level 20.  If i ever need them i can always invis.  I use ours mainly for the levitate to bypass annoying content.
IE ---
1) fall down HUGE cliff with certain death at 390 safe fall or
2) jump the cliff and the last second pop invis so i levi and dont die.

Situations like that mainly.  Its a nice tool if we need it, that with FD allows for very efficient scouting.

@hattori

much better is to jump somewhere down with your alt char and considerr after you are death that DK`s dont have safe fall  Roll Eyes

To much playing one class let you forget that the others maybe cant do all things same, also running trough mob groups and thinking "well i just FD after those and leave them behind"  Grin

Any word yet on when the new game update might be going live Quinn?  Am beyond excited to try the new changes, and sounds like there's been plenty of time to playtest them on Test.  Very anxious to see these patched into Live.

Okay I have asked for help from a few monks that i could find on test and can confirm that when a mob hits you (anywhere in telon) and you stop running  then continue running the runspeed part of the buff leaves.
The only way to get it back is to recast the buff.
Quinn please check on this when able

You must have missed the last few patch notes.  We have been given a substantial amount of alterations on the test server.

See earlier posts in this thread by Quinn the Mighty and Fujitsu for specifics.

As soon as one week from the time APW was opened on test.

My best guess would be 1-2 weeks from today.
