Quinn, just a quick couple of questions regarding SOE's vision on the NEW FD.
How valid a pulling tool do they want it to become? In terms of FD versus lulling or pet pulling ?
Will you be pulling mainly in 'special' areas - like Rahz now - or will it have a broader use?
How big of a 'balance' factor is FD? Could you give us an indication of how powerful they perceive it to be? For instance, do they think FD is on par with the total of Ranger utility? Or rather the combination of heals + a snare ability? I'd very much like to know.
Oh, and thanks for the load of hard work you've been doing for our class lately. I appreciate it lots - and I'm sure I'm not alone.

I would hope they leave it just raids it is really needed.
I don't think they want to damage the abilty of pulling in normal groups. They have that pretty well set up as is. Lots of ways to pull in PUG's, as it should be. It's alot easier for PUG's to get going when they dont "need" a certain class.

Ay, I agree with that. FD should definately be an option for normal grouping but it shouldn't make other options obsolete.

Was chatting with a guildy on our guild boards and he has me questioning myself.
I'm not at home so cant check this ATM but FD is on global cooldown isnt it? (2 seconds?)

Yeah, that's what I though. He was telling me he thought it was 8 seconds. Then I check the abilities list on the forums here and it said 8 seconds.
Realy had me questioning myself there for a second.

Well, there are actually 3 FD abilities that monks get - FD 1, FD 2, and FD 3. FD 1 has an 8 second reuse timer, FD 2 has a 4 second reuse timer, and FD 3 has a 2 second reuse timer. Those timers are specific to the FD skill. Its also tied to global cool down, though, because it takes 2 seconds for all other abilities to become usable after using any FD skill.

Anyone else finding the new melodramatic FD death tumble animation distracting? Half the time I'm just a corpse sliding around the floor and imo the whole sequence takes a bit too long in the cut and thrust of combat. I wish they hadn't removed the cooldown indicator on the button too.

I don't mind the dying part of the animation, but I would like to see us "pop" back up instead of slide so much.

Lol yeah they really didnt consider feign death when they changed the animation.
More then anything they will most likely just code it so the second you cancle feign, it cancles the animation (if its still going). The slide is annoying but at least it doesnt affect the ability atm.

It does affect the ability... tonight in Rahz, I'd use WASD keys as usual to cancel feign death. I was up and running about, the clicked on the ability again to feign again, and it said "Feign Death III has been toggled off". That's not supposed to happen, right? The moment you're moving, shouldn't feign death immediately cancel? It caused me quite a few deaths tonight.
