Why are there upgrades to this ability?  Unless the use of the term % is actually an error, when in fact Swaying Step affacts a Dodge value there should be no need for upgrades at all.  100% is the max in this world and the next.

Why exactly does one need more than a 100% Dodge on the next attack?  I have never used Swaying Step and NOT avoided the next incoming attack, so why would I need 120%, 140%, 160% as part of the upgrades?

Why does Swaying Step NOT affect the Defense rating on the character panel?

Why is the sky blue?

It's part of the old system (where it was individual checks) but still has a purpose:
100% against equal level mob. Thus, against a mob 20 levels higher than you, it's quite likely to hit you regardless. The increased scaling simply means that a higher level mob is less and less likely to hit you anyhow (but it's ironically not as needed at higher level since you're going to be closer to the level cap, and thus not be facing mobs with large level diffrence, go figure)
