Well theres a slap in the face if i may say so myself.  Just yesterday i finally grinded out the 500 shards and did the events in order to get this weapon and the day after it gets nerfed.  Graystone stayed the same which is nice but, why nerf the stormslam from 75dps to 70? doesn't make sense and only pisses me off.....oh wait a minute! They added a sparkley effect to it that must be why!  Silly me.......Anyway, i needed to vent somewhere guys sorry.

Well, the issue dosen't lie in "nerfing" weapons or not, but rather the silly limitation in choices.
Two quest rewards (Dargun and Graystone) are two-handed only, whereas all other classes who has the choices in one-handers or two-handers gets to choose, and apperently this third offers yet another two-hander (not sure what other classes gets for rewards, or even if they get a choice.
Introducing fists (which you could then have two off!) of one of variations as a reward on these would hardly be gamebreaking, making completeing either one (you can pick a two-hander and get a good return) or several (you can get a nice dualwield package) as choices instead of getting an ever growing compilation of two-handers regardless.
In particularly seeing that God-King fists now would outdo a one-handed fistwrap from Graystone (it's ~61 DPS now compared to the ~56 of a graystone onehander, stats might make the latter better choice still though) I don't see why the quest rewards are so limiting.

Well, are those staves Monk only or MNK/DSC ? In case of the latter, there's your answer. It's easier.

99.9% of all our dropped/quested weapons are Mnk/Dsc..most leaning toward the Dsc side for stats..(vit, energy, etc)
We should at least have 2 sets of weapon choices with quests that reward them, one with str/dex/con/hp etc.for Monks, and one with wis/vit/energy etc. for Dsc's (they can even label the 2 types of weapons Mnk/Dsc if it makes em happy). Thing is, Dsc's can use any stat that's on a weapon, Monks can't.

As I said, it's easier. And I must admit I dreaded to hear the expected 'Mnk/Dsc' response.

I I got extremely lucky and got a chance to run this quest with Fujitu's rogue alt a few weeks back.  Thankfully a 50 bard provided all the dull shards so I didn't have to do any farming(Though I had previously farmed 2 dull shards).  Had a bit of trouble with Shrine of the Tempest but lucked out and a GM responded in miraculously less than a minute.  All and all that was a pretty good day since  I upgraded my shuriken orb to legendary right before I joined up with that group.

So far all the way to lvl 45, Stormslam has served my lillte drunkard well as a dps weapon while I was grouping.  I've actually gotten quite a few positive comments about my dps from groupmates.  Only 3 more levels to go till it goes into semiretirement and I swap it out for the fancy new flawess pariah's powered bstaff of devastation a guildie made for me.
