Played a little bit after patch, it seems that FD mechanics has been changed!

Apparently mobs do not rush back to their previous location before agro after I FD... they camp for a bit and then slowly walk back.

I had heard they working on FD to remove the penalties for multiple mobs. Nothign about it going to test / live though.

New method was 1 check for all mobs you are aggro on. (Highest level) if you win they all drop aggro.
I made it a point to get split pull working before changing it as y'all would percieve it as a nerf if they took away the ability to have a bugged mob corpse camp you w/o offering split pull back.

I am still at work so I cant check it myself. So keep playing and post what you know.

I played a little more with FD and noticed 2 things

1) Mobs now camp your FDed "corpse" for a bit before WALKING back to their previous location before agro.  The duration which they camp you seem to be random.

2) A successful FD still does NOT clear all agro - some still will stick to you in addtion to the ones camping you.

Had to log in to see this and sure enough, it's at least partly back to where it was supposed to be!  This alone will get me to play my monk again.  I didn't try it with more than 3 mobs but with 3 it works just like it did before the broke it 2 months ago.

Very happy!

Is this with more than 4 mobs?

Mob camping can happen no matter how many mobs are on ya.
The successful-FD-but-mob-still-agro bug that has been there for eons is still here, and happens when 3+ mobs are involved.

Even with 1 mob on you, they will wait for a bit then slowly walk.  But I noticed sometimes they instantly teleported back to their spawn loc.  If anything it seems that they are definately workin on it so we can have some pulling utility.  Cool.  Least our displays are also fixed this patch.  Yippie!

Looks like coding finished there work then on the split pull fix, BEFORE they made the changes to FD to work on the new system then.

Seems like we have some pull utility added this patch. Who'da thunkit?  laugh

Actually, in most cases, it would be slower, except if you only have 3 mobs, nothing to stop one on and they don't see invis, where it's better like this. ~

I spent today initiating roughly 3/4 of the riftways. Quite a few of them were in hairy zones where evasion was crucial for a level 40. Upon flop all my aggro mobs from around level 38 and upwards) camped me; we've seen this before as a glitch whereby once you re-flop the mobs return to spawn . . . I thought. Instead in some instances it took me several flops and often repeated prolonged dirt munching for health regen to shake them. This new coding seems to be ideal for an inexperienced monk whose group shoves them in front and mockingly says to get things single to impress said group. Or, perhaps, for the soloer to recover from the onslaught of 3+ mobs stunning her health away, to pop up and finish off the lingerer (malingerer?). But, it stinks from the viewpoint of simple evasion. Let's educate the critters of Telon, get them literate enough to distinguish between "I am pulling! aiiieeee" and "Passing through, move along" t-shirts or something.

haha great way to put it.
But I agree, the single shake off is really annoying now. I had a 5dot lvl 50 camp me for about amost 10 minute (I checked the watch) before I decide to just run for it with all evasive buffs up and he pounding on me...

I liked the changes at first, but then I got in a group and said, "Lemme pull singles!"  At first the group was like cool, look at the monk go.  Then after a few minutes they were like, just let the Bard pull.  And I agreed.

The new FD takes way too long to clear aggro.  I was getting 3-5 mobs at a time camping me, watched as they slowly walked away one by one, which is NICE, but it took upwards of over a minute for even con mobs.

No group wants to wait around 60 seconds per pull.  Sorry, Sigil.  Once again you have no feel for how a Monk paces their gameplay.  We don't want to watch the clock on every pull.

You should be out pulling while they are killing the mob.  Judge the speed at which the group kills mobs.  Judge the speed at which you can pull.  Try to get them together and at whatever % of current mobs health..FD run out and grab another...this leaves little downtime.  Im not saying the camp timers dont need to be adjusted but thats what I used to do in EQ for my groups and thats what I did at release here.  I was able to time things really well so that the group was almost never without a mob and my groups always loved me for it.

Unfortunately these changes are too little and too late.  I am not in the state that I long to log in and play anymore.  It just doesnt seem very fun.  There really is nothing drawing me to the game anymore and I have cancelled.  Maby one day I will come back but only time will tell.

Still, they take awfully long to go away now, that's the Problem Soluss.

Well it takes a bit more testing at this stage on our part but for shaking them off while running through an area, this is really annoying.

It's faster to use spells and lull or sleep additional mobs then to wait fd for them to finally move their a**** Wink
