Ok so this was another parse from graystone, we killed a variety of mobs, (yes some skeletons, and some non skeletons).  We had:
Me = 42 harmonious monk  (446 str) (71DPS bladestaff)
Bracio  = 42 Ranger (he said he kinda tried and he kinda didn't, interpret as you will) (387 Str) ( x2 53.7 DPS LongSwords)
Feniqs = 39 Bloodmage
Frostwind = 41 warrior
Tefnutkin = 43 Sorceror
Dragothic  = 42 warrior

Fights were fast, we killed mobs extremely quickly (this may have been the reason the ranger didn't make his potential as far as DPS is.  Ranger stances take time for them to gain +dam and +acc so the fast fights probably crippled him from getting a larger DPS parse.)

Here are the numbers, interpret as you will.  Not sure if this is good or bad.........

We should make all of telon skeletons!!!  laugh We have found our niche!.

I knew we were starting to close the gap on DPS, but unfortuneately the data is skewed with the skeletons so *meh*.

No they don't hit harder on skellies, only "blunt" type weapons.  I guess Bladed Staff counts under this category.  We've seen a lot of parses but they all seem to be in Graystone which don't really help.  Someone needs to do Rhaz Inkur or something.

ahh, im gonna head away form graystone and do some more parses then.  i guess 2 hand piercing counts under the "blunt" weapon category because 2hp is what goes up when i use my weapon.  Oh well =D  Back to the drawing board.  I'll probably end up deleting this thread or something then

To get an accurate parse you need all parties involved in parsing then compare.  You can look at the logs and check but from the parsing I've done it only shows your dot damage and your damage with vulnerability exploiting.  Which means any parse that you do will be skewed with others not showing all the damage they are actually doing.  Have your friends log and parse themselves and see what they come up with.

It's some of our finishers and some counterattacks that deal blunt damage - regardless of weapon wielded. Likewish, a ranger using blunt wepaons and a finisher wont be dealing massive damage.

This has not been consistently applied.  Mucking around in Fields of Despair and Plains of Anguish (scattered with skeleton mobs), I noticed that while Thousand Fists was most definitely getting the blunt damage bonus, Thundering Fists was not.  Same goes with other attacks, although the differences are not as noticeable as with our big-hitting finishers and would require parsing.  As mentioned above, this was regardless of weapon type - Thousand Fists was doing the extra damage whether I was using claws, fist wraps, martial staff or martial sword.

I can't see any reason why these attacks should be treated differently versus skellies.  Either they tie a lot of them to our weapon type, or they readjust them to be blunt across the board.  It needs a fix.

yeah, it's refeshing to see we are improving but we need to compare vs none skels. Even at 27, i'll crit skels for 3000-4000dmg very frequently, meanwhile an equal lvl range will report a max crit of 1500-200. we really do DESTROY skels.
