To get back to itemization (forgive me I really didn't search through the forum to check if it has been mentioned already).

I just noticed that a lot of other classes weapons have procs (like the Shik's Steelpoint, which has a chance to cast nerve strike on hit). I haven't seen only single weapon for us monks with any proc whatsoever..are there any at all yet?

If not we have to make sure they don't forget about this and don't only focus on adding straight weapons per se..

The nerve strike will only act as a stun, and isnt even working properly atm. Nerve strike breaks on breathing (dmg/debuff/strong wind gusts), with auto attack / spamming abilities, it will be impossible to turn off attack once realizing nerve strike has landed. So I assume it will be a 0 second stun, useful for interupts. I agree in that I would like to see more monk procs though, they make combat a little more interesting and i think we are that only melee class who do not have procs available. I assume we've been left out because of Disc sharing most of our weapons (as usual).

They need to alter the way Disc abilities work, making them not so dependant on massive % weapon damage, to allow monk balancing. They cannot put monk weapons in the game with slow delay because current disc abilities work of flat 400% dmg etc. which would require yet another disc nerf.....simple fix, make monk only wepaons.....most disc at lvl 50 realize they arent a dps class anyways. Make some healing martial weapons, make some dps (monk only) weapons. Just because a weapon is martial doesnt mean a disciple can automatically use it.

I wasn't referring to the actual proc - I wouldn't want that particular one but I was addressing the actual fact that I haven't seen any monk/disc weapon with ANY proc.

The only weapons I have seen (that we can use) with procs are player made weapons. If the reason our weapons are not harder hitting/slower is because all Disc abilities really are 400%, then Sigil did a SNARFty job making Disc abilities and they need to be revamped. That or make some Monk only and Disc only weapons.

What you don't like having energy on your weapons!!!!  I was so happy to see my weapon from Darguns had energy on it because it will be so useful to me.  Energy > Dex or Str for sure!!  YIPPEEE!

The stick also has +2% melee damage and some HP, it could have been a lot worse. ~

I don't acknowledge that DPS is an issue??? It's our #1 issue Ryoku

from our consolidated bug / issue thread

Quote
Issue: The monk is supposed to have the highest DPS baseline of all offensive fighters. This is not the case. Some of this may be tied to itemization or lack of it at lower levels.

I suppose I could have used bold font, or have it change colors but I guess I wasn't going for the vegas look on it.

I have a thread or 2 going on VG Rangers, asking about damage delt in the 1st 25 seconds of combat. and there are lots of parse threads that I have gone over here on VG monks. So trust me it's a known issue. I am aware of it. As isTalisker and his team. Part of this is tied to itemization the rest is ability related.

Pretty much every time I talk to Talisker I am pushing DPS, Stance / FD fixes so they are abundantly aware of this. We are supposed to be able to kick arse take names, but in many cases we don't and unless we change all the mobs in telon to skeletons we just don't live up to the billing.

We are closer now to our goal since Update #1 but there is still a way to go.

~QTM

I know, from grouping with Faelor (Owner of VGRangers),  He wtfpwns my dps, however I am close to dk's and warriors.  But this is probably due to my 69 & 56 dps weapons.

I vote no changes on FD, fix monk dps and a few of our abilities / durations and we're gtg.
