Okay that's fine and dandy and all, but that's against undead stuff where our hits do nearly double damage.  Test it against different types of mobs and parse it.

Blah, fine here is a parse against a Rotblood assassin with my new Graystone Bladestaff, 71DPS.  I'm a lvl 41 Harm Monk
The mob i fought was a lvl 35ish rotblood assassin in VT, yes it was gray.

Entity Name:      * You
Total Hits:      17
Total Damage:      24549
Lowest Hit:      223
Highest Hit:      3378
Total Time in Combat:   31
Average Swing Time:   1.823529
Damage Per Second:   791.9032
Damage Per Hit:      1444.059

and again it was lvl 35 or 36

Entity Name:      * You
Total Hits:      10
Total Damage:      22102
Lowest Hit:      539
Highest Hit:      5578
Total Time in Combat:   19
Average Swing Time:   1.9
Damage Per Second:   1163.263
Damage Per Hit:      2210.2

We were clearing down to VT TR so i decided to take some individual fight parses.

I was using tiger stance so i guess some fights i just critted a lot and others not so much.  No epics or anything in these fights, just normal crits.

If you want decently useful results, you pretty much need to do an extended parse, put a note if there was a noticeable downtime between mobs or if there was chainpulled (break means cooldowns refresh which means a generally higher DPS while lower killspeed, funny huh?), what class/level of the people were in the group (some classes add huge dps bursts).
While individual fight parsers can be nice, they usually leave a higher results as they tend to have their cooldowns up and so on; something you don't have on the average grind constantly - and thus do not give a fair overall result.
Having a large parse also diminishes the effect epic/legendary crits has on result since it simply would blow a single parse out.

Ok, im sorry that these are against skeletons in graystone, its what i was fighting today, get over it!  Tongue (*cough* riot *cough*)

I was a 41 harm monk, 71 DPS bladestaff.  Enemies we fought ranged from 40-43.  Some were skeletons, some weren't.

Dragothic was a 39 warrior.  (he had that bug where it shows big numbers, threw off his reading)
Halak was a 41 warrior
Waniden was a 39 shaman (hayatet)
Kenadul was a 41 Disciple
Tefnutkin was a 42 Sorceror

Entity Name:      * You
Total Hits:      1579
Total Damage:      2983536
Lowest Hit:      0
Highest Hit:      21433
Total Time in Combat:   3204
Average Swing Time:   2.029132
Damage Per Second:   931.191
Damage Per Hit:      1889.51

Entity Name:      Dragothic
Total Hits:      1736
Total Damage:      1075332210

Average Swing Time:   1.786866

Entity Name:      Halak Demnazefe

Lowest Hit:      0
Highest Hit:      825
Total Time in Combat:   990
Average Swing Time:   2.432432
Damage Per Second:   143.2586
Damage Per Hit:      348.4668

Entity Name:      Kenadul
Total Hits:      1483
Total Damage:      868048
Lowest Hit:      0
Highest Hit:      2833
Total Time in Combat:   2999
Average Swing Time:   2.022252
Damage Per Second:   289.4458
Damage Per Hit:      585.3325

Entity Name:      Tefnutkin SprogRocket
Total Hits:      210
Total Damage:      376592
Lowest Hit:      425
Highest Hit:      4828
Total Time in Combat:   606
Average Swing Time:   2.885714
Damage Per Second:   621.439
Damage Per Hit:      1793.295

I hope this is more useful, its an extended parse over about 2 hours i think, not much downtime.  Weren't exactly chain pulls but the tank pulled after a few seconds (slow tanks, bah).  I listed class and lvl.

Yea, much more accurate results (even though skeletons give skewed numbers like you noted). :)

It's not that I can't get over it, I'm just saying, you aren't going to get accurate results and that just discredits all your findings.

Yup =P  I just don't want the devs to read it and think we're fixed and there's nothing to do.

Well if they compared a ranger skeleton parse i think it woudl be clear how overpowered they are, lol.  Im getting around 900, ranger probably topping at at 1200-1500 easily.  I'll see if i can't find a ranger to parse next go round and get us some comparative results.

Well rangers don't do added damage to skeletons I don't think, it's just blunt/smashing weapons like monk fists and staffs, not ranger's blades.

FAIK, beside autoattack, only a few monk abilities are considered "blunt" attacks (disciples for example aren't); which means we're peerless at skeleton fighting.
