Interesting stuff. Thanks for posting.

Can you perhaps give a little more info on the parse? Was this 10 fights? 100 fights? 1 hour, 5 hours, etc?

Also, what style Monk are you? And did the others in group know that you were parsing such that they gave you an honest run?

This was over a period of about 2 hours, somewhere in the region of 75 fights. The group did know I was parsing and did their best to not hold back, without causing aggro problems. I'm a Dragon-Style monk, equipped with two Claws of Bloodletting: http://vg-en.curse-gaming.com/database/items/details/1324678/claws-of-bloodletting/
We'll be doing alot of grinding in this area, so I'll post more parses as I'm able.

I can't trust a dps parser yet.  Not until all the problems are ironed out.

Random question, but where are the Barenid Hills?  I saw you can get a really really nice bladestaff from some quest there, was just wondering where the place is and what the quest is and what you gotta do.

And interesting numbers on the DPS parser.  I do notice myself doing pretty good damage in groups, but solo I am miserable.  I was trying to solo an equal level 3 dot, and I went through 120 shurikens and just strafing around the mob for about 4 minutes with my speed aum on so I could actually keep a small distance from the mob.  I must have looked like an idiot circling around like that.

The parse shows 27 minutes of total fight time though. You have the highest in combat time outside the MT. That has a lot to do with it.  We can parse all we want, but we need to break down in combat time Vs other class's in a controled enviorment. The ranger had slightly less time in combat yet doing slightly less dmg, which giving 300 more seconds in combat could easily close the gap. While adding the group utility rangers do.

Actually to get an accurate parse you would need to have all the other party members running a parser as well and compare at the end.  The parsers aren't picking out all the damage and you'll see big differences from your damage than to others.  In other words you aren't getting their total damage.  See how another person parses your party and compare results.

That would be a controled enviroment. I should have worded my post last night, but it was late and i was tired, sorry. Doing such a thing could lead to uncoverings of the parser actually being flawed to a certain degree. Who knows, the only info we have gotten is single incidents with no information to cross refrence what we have gathered except other monks at other times doing the same thing. We need a whole groups info.

I personally don't group much and couldn't organize a total "group parse" where all members are running the program for the same duration over a grind session. But I would believe that the findings would be interesting to say the least.

Our best bet is to lower as much variables as possible to make it as easy as possible for sigil to jump in and investigate the issue.

Parses on skeletons is bound to be extremely uneven; Thousand Fists, Flying Kick, Kick of Heavens and a few counterattacks count as crushing damage and will deal double damage on skeletons. When we did Graystone dungeon, I did (in)volenteraly tank pretty much all skeleton mobs simply because of the insane DPS output of those abilities.
Currently, thousand fists is slightly less than 10000 damage (level 45, graystone bladestaff of purification) unbuffed for me on a normal crit at skeletons. If I tried to estimate my actual damage though, I would make a point to exclude any skeletal mob.

Look through your combat log and you'll notice that it show for instance damage you do from exploiting vulnerabilities and it shows that others exploit them but it doesn't list the damage that others do.  Also other peoples dots and other damages aren't shown at all and some that are don't list the person that did it ie mobx bleeds for y amount of damage but the rogue that made the bleed isn't listed so doesn't get credit.

There are a ton of issues with the combat logs and parser so any parse 1 person does will be wildly innacurate and depending on the class they will tend to show others as not doing as much damage as they actually are.
