Ive had enough of sigil, the only way to make them do anything is to cancel subscription, I advise you all do that and go play lord of the rings online untill they get the hint and fix monks, this is sickening and they've been doing these useless bandaid fixes that dont fix anything ever since monks were introduced into beta

As far as im concerned, if you have to go balls to the wall with math numbers to see if a change even occured, then no changed has occured.

On the contrary, game balancing means looking at the serverwide statistics and do the adjustments on that scale. You as a player dont have the data available that the devs have. So they will play  the numbers game so the serverwide  data looks the way they want to.

Whether they are competent enought to get it right remains to be seen. Time will tell, its early yet. Smiley

I like the change to storm stride.
But minor DPS tweaks here and there isn't enough.
So far I'm discouraged that we haven't gotten fundamental problems addressed yet, like broken stances.

What we really need is some kind of confirmation form Sigil about what issues are being worked on, what is being considered, and what is unlikely to change and why.
The changes could take a month or two to be complete, but at least if we knew what Sigil was intending we could rest easy with the knowledge that Sigil understands our needs and is working to address them.

Yes, because we need all these statistics to come to the conclusion that random 5 minute cooldowns need a tiny damage increase, iron hand needing a single digit damage buff, and crescent kick doing 50 more damage pre-mitigation. Hoooooo boy, these changes could TEAR TELON ASUNDER if not taken slowly!

I don't mean to be a jerk, but there's a difference between going buff crazy and having to nerf later, and....well, this. This is like finding a starving Donner Party then throwing one donut at them because there's a chance they might overeat and get tummy aches!

Okay, I'm done. =)  These patch notes have given me a sarcasm attack, and it's worked out for the time being I think (about 10 minutes). Haven't even wanted to log in lately, and this just perpetuates the feeling. I'm tired of just bogging my guild group down when they could get the same dps from a level 20 necro. Tongue

Tari you made me laugh! Donner party, table for 3, er make that 2 . . .Ha.
I too liked the storm stride glitch. It was like stinky foot powa traveled that distance to affront the foe. When it did work properly, however, it was also funny to have groupmates go, "wth where did that other person come from?"

Sad thing is, I could be wrong, but it seems like Rangers could have gotten a bigger boost from one little line of patch notes:

-Ranged damage over time abilities had a bug causing them do almost no damage. This has been fixed.

A guildie (lvl 30 ranger) said over go - yay my dot does 200 damage again not only 2...
I hope he was over exaggerating but I am happy for them. We are not the only ones that deserve their issues being fixed  Wink

Rangers and Shaman will never be nerfed. At least, not until Brad and some of the Devs leave. It's that simple.

Just so you know... in this game it is not Brad who plays the ranger =) ... if i remember correctly he plays a bloodmage (that could be wrong too but he definately does not play a ranger)

He may have been a Ranger in beta, but could have changed upon launch. The Dev saying that could have just been running interference for Brad. But I can assure you he doesnt play a monk.
