I just bought Vanguard and haven't gotten too far into it yet.  Part of it is that I keep getting pulled back to WOW because my friends are over there and I can't get any to try the Vanguard yet, and part of it is because SOE keeps tweaking classes and I wanted to give them a little time to get over these hiccups.  Basically I'm letting you guys deal with a lot of the frustration so I don't have to.   Wink

Anyway, I tried a few levels (not enough to know all the ins and outs, of course) on a bunch of classes and thought the Monk to be the most fun.  Actually the crafting has sunk as much of my time as the adventuring because I think it pretty much is GTG with the exception of maybe a few more learnable recipes.

Catch you on the forums.

Nice to see you.  Personaly, while i dont have anything against the game, WoW was never much fun to me.  This game has been a huge blast so far to me.

I'm glad to hear it.  I have only made it to level 9 in leatherworking and adventuring on this guy since I am trying not to blaze too far ahead of my friends whom I hope will make it to Vanguard.  So far the world reminds me of Morrowind which is a good thing IMO.

Im not a fan of crafting, but you can make some awesome stuff like boats and houses.

As for adventuring, the world is huge, the dungeons are 10x bigger than any other dungeon in any other game ever.  I remeber going through Khegor's End for the first time and i kept thinking we had come to the end, but it kept going, and going, and going. lol.

Then i went to dargun's tomb, nuff said there =)

If you are having fun with the monk at lvl 9, wait till you hit 14, then it will really pick up for a bit  (and then not really again until you hit 34 but still fun)
