Just to clarify... the learned abilities just "happen" at some point while fighting certain mobs? Or do you have to do something special to learn them (like we have to meditate to learn abilities)?

My alt ranger learned a freeze ability off a random mob by the time he was lvl 4 .. it just happend and big read letters on the screen told me I learned a new ability... /shrug

You'll get something like: "You have begun learning New Ability Name Here." poping in both chat and in middle of screen. It's pretty hard to miss once you do; there's also a sound tied to it, same as when training iirc.

On live I am 35-ish checked the "Reed in the Wind" mobs. On Test I can be any level I want MUHAHAHAHA! didnt get any updates there either.
So until they push it to test *meh*
I've sent IM to Talisker looking for infoz but nothing yet.

as far as the ranger goes.... that freeze your talking about is not learned from mobs. The way you learn freeze is perform a "combo" of skills. the freeze was learned by using the freeze attack ability twice in a row. Another one is a fire DOT that is performed by using cripple, freeze sword thing, and fire sword thing... doing that creates a fire DOT on the mob and the combo is put into your general abilities tab so you can remember how to do it.
I have a ranger, rogue, shaman, and monk... and the ranger is the only one ive noticed these combos on.

I spoke with Aviar today I've been told it's fixed but has not made it's way to test / live server. I'll keep ya updated.

Ah thanks for that info... just seemed to be because I was fighting a mob and it stated "you have learned ability ..." |

I've been swamped with RL work so I have not been able to check the test server to see if our fix for this has been pushed to test. I should be able to do this tonight

Happy hunting ~QTM Ok I know you cant give out specifics but... say there was a lvl 10 thing we could learn ... does it get upgraded to level appropraite? Meaning if it never gets upgraded but would still be useful at say level 35... do i need to hunt level 10 mobs to get it? |
