This is in regards to the decrease in mitigation since i have seen Tali post in monks figure this would be a good place to bring Disciple issues to his attention as well.  going ot rip a few posts i plaved in game isssues on the vanguard board.

After the last patch are DPS was decreased as was are mitigation.

We already went down pretty fast in a group. so now we dont have many buffs, we have timer on are FD of one minute, we have low DPS, Low mitigation.

so outside of healing a group we are about useless, i love the class i really do. but with the dps loss and the mitigation loss, i solo a two dot like alot of classes do a three dot.

i hit now for around 150 yesterday it was 250. i did a epic crit today with a finisher move for 650. this would have been 1200 yesterday. starting think if we cant DPS maybee more buffs? or loss the FD timer, as it stands even if i do FD if i gain aggro upon standing up i will be dead upon seconds anyways.

Also going ot point this out forum post as well

ok WE are a healer class this is correct, and i do see your point alot of DSC do try to play there class as DPS instead of healing but upon lookign at balance and favoribility i am going to map desirebilty in each healer class.

Group benfits.

Cleric; Heals/Buffs - better mitigation with plate.

Shaman; Heals/strong group buffs

BloodMage; Heals/Buffs - and also have pretty decent DPS also.

Disciple; Heal/FD

Solobility;

Cleric's; still have a strong regen ability and a ward, also have better mitigation thne us via plate.

Shaman; Have a pet better DPS via some spells

BloodMage; Awsome DPs upon soloing

Disciple; can barely solo two dots....we can FD if it doesnt fail and run away.

THe point of the thread is with the lacking in DPS, no Buffs. the only thing a group would want us for is in case of a wipe, but 80% of the time as a healer will be eatign dirt before the chance to FD arrives with the mitigation as well.

I admire your willingness to continue with the disciple. I myself have shelved mine and have not touched him for 3 weeks. I have a couple of shamen now instead (my main is a monk).

Having played both disciple and shaman I must say the shaman is a walk in the park compared to the disciple when it comes to keeping a group alive.

I think the main problem is endurance based healing as a replacement for the HP buff of other healers. It takes 6 seconds to get one off and the global cooldown also interferes with casting energy based heals leading to problems when you need to get an emergency heal off quickly. I often found that I had to wait the cooldown before I could cast an energy based heal, often leading to wipe because I could not get it off fast enough.

My trouble I have with my disciple is not being able to heal as effecttively. Was chaining off mana heals one after another and ran outta mana while trying to keep the tank and everyone else alive. Ran outta mana and the tank died because i couldnt get in melee range quick enough.

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water my friend.

I agree that we need a jump in DPS, but I would not underestimate how amazing we become at healing in the mid-late 20's.  Provided you have a tank that is doing their job (otherwise there's not much any healer can do), the use of Blooming Ridge hand, combined with Falling Petal and White Lotus strike, has allowed me to do through almost constant battle in dungeons filled with 4-5 dots right around my level without having to dip into my mana except when some caster overcasts.  At level 33 my tank is being healed for 180 each time she hits a creature, and if it's a 5 dot or two 4 dts then I just need to use Blessed Wind or Kiss of Heaven to keep her up and running at full the entire time.

I even use Blessed Wind to top off my casters (they can't resist hurting themselves with some ability or another), and never have to worry about my own agro getting high enough for my mitigation to matter.  My DPS is a lower then I would like, but every 30 seconds I'm almost assured an 1100 hit with Palm of Discord, and I crit often enough on my own that I get a few non-autocritting ones in from time to time.  Overall I can't complain to much.  I feel my DPS should be on par with that of a defensive tank, but I am comfortable waiting while they work things out, confident that they're working on some ideas, and that things will look up. (Of course, not if they don't mention the fixes that they DO make, like to Harmonous Bonds.  Took me more then a week to hear about that)
