Ok, logged in now:

Primary notificies:
Unarmed damage - marginally reduced.
Other attacks - Tooltips not updated - but hey we're so far out of date anyhow.

Actual changes (at 41)
Prechange:
Eagle Claw: 400 hits, 600 crits.
Flying kick: 1100 hits, 1600 crits.
Ashen Hand: 800 hits, 1200 crits.

Now:
Eagle claw: <200 hits, 250 crits.
Flying kick: 600 hits, 900 crits.
Ashen Hand: 300 hits, 450 crits.

On the good side, boundless fists is now weapondamage+130 some, so if you were spamming that and nothing else, your damage has increased.

Reason is this:
Quote from: Patch Notes
- Melee and Ranged direct attacks have had a bug fixed that was causing them to do around double damage. Direct attacks are one type of melee attack that do not use weapon damage and strength damage directly, the are most often used with abilities that do not have damage as their focus.

Sum: We're down to about tops 75% of our pre-patch DPS. Quick fixes to patch up a class when another developer is fixing a bug that has caused us to have any dps of measurement at all from the start is just lovely. Hope you have a good group that will take care of you the week it takes for the fixes to start.

So Sigil manages to find more ways to really nerf us even more, huh?

I believe it sounds like everyone's dmg is affected by this.  But it looks like it.  I'll reserve judgment until  i can log in.

No, our autoattack damage and special attacks that use weapon damage remains at large unaffected, so it's not exactly halved - but specials are (if not more in some cases).

Oh, pretty much all other DPS classes uses weapon% on every single attack and then some, so they are unaffected.

Any downward adjustment to monk's overall dps is insulting.  Let me guess, next week we will see a slight improvement in our dps which will bring us back to where we were pre-patch and Sigil will say, "see we buffed you."  Whatever.

Leishiu, what level are you?  The reason I ask is that at my level I don't do that much damage on eagle claw, flying kick or ashen hand.  I'm just wondering at what level monks hit for that much damage.

Ok just tested this out.  I am a level 29 monk.  Indeed our special attack damage has been cut in half. What is absolutely even more abserd by this is our auto attack now does more damage then our specials.  This is of course if our specials dont crit.  Which if they do crit is maby 3 times the auto attack damage.  See, they did fix us we no longer have to use endurance wasting it on specials  that do less damage then auto attack. WOOT MONKS REJOICE!

As for next patch they probably will nerf our auto attack damage to make our specials do more damage then the auto attack.  That way using specials will become viable again.

I'm level 41, new hit tests were done on level 25 greys.
Er, former hits are from equally leveled mobs when soloing or duoing with a class that dosen't have impact on damage numbers.

Yeah, our specials damage is now worse, but they made it so Waning Palm updates correctly on our reactions bar with the latest version.

Wow, we can not get a break can we? It's almost as if Sigil wants there to be no Monks left playing! lol. I'll have to see how the changes were for my 18 Monk. I wrote down a bunch of info before hand so I can match it up.

I seriously doubt their intentions were to alienate a class of players.  That's just not good business sense.  Rather it's probably the side result of different teams working on different problems.  One group had a bug (you can't tell me that abilities doing nearly 2x their intended dmg was working correctly) and the other is working on balance issues (slight damage increase for monks).

That doesn't make it fair.  But it also means that we should seem some love soon.

Remember:  They want our money.

From what I'm hearing it affects rangers too (at least in their ranged attacks) Linkage

Why can't we get some sort of input from Sigil?

I mean, jeez, we're last in melee fighter dps now, behind clerics in mitigation, probably equal disciples in dps

What the heck is going on? Is this eq all over again?

Nerf after nerf, for no apparent reason.

Hey Devs, how's about posting here some. The SV and FOH boards aren't the only 2 on the web, you know.

"love soon" in EQ terms meant nearly 2 years of demanding it. I'm not going to go through this again.

Level 18 Monk, wielding only one Fists weapon when fists are applied. It seems to me that DPS did not really end up being boosted but it got really little change. If I want to have the same DPS I had pre patch I have to apply another fist weapon (and it's still marginally lower). Plus I am then hit with the dual-wielding penatly. Also I notice that our most commonly used jin based damage attacks were lowered as well. To me this patch nerfed us even more, even with the stated increase in damage...if I want to get to that damage then I must take the dual-wielding penatly, which to me is unfair.

PRE PATCH:
NO FISTS
Attack= 115-116 (57.75 DPS)
Off Hand=  (28.75 DPS)

FISTS
Attack=124-128 (56 DPS)
Off Hand= (26.51 DPS)

POST PATCH
NO FISTS
Attack= 100-106 (51.5 DPS)
Off Hand= (25.75 DPS)

FISTS
Attack= 130-133 (61.16 DPS)
Off Hand= (19.75 DPS)

Guys:

I spoke with Talisker and the folks at Sigil know somethings up and they are looking into it.

A request:
Those of you who were able to get some combat logs from prior to the patch. Please run some logs today and send them over to me at quinn_the_mighty@hotmail.com We can compare the damage.

Thanks!
