Personally I grow tired of the "We're gimped!" and "We're not gimped it's you that suck!!" arguments and hostility being thrown around in the monk community recently.  I grow even more tired of waiting for that elusive monk love from Devs that never speak to us.

I figure, since there are now monks reaching higher levels (ie 40+), can those fortunate souls share with us what kind of new skills do we get as monks in general (shared skills) and monks in each discipline?  The excellent skill list here in Vanguardmonks.com only go accurately up to around level 30.  I bet many of us lower levels would LOVE to see what kind of new toys we get at high levels!!!

So Pleeeeease~~~ show us them skills!! Tell us that we get some Uber Skill of Leetness at level 40!

im only lvl 19 but i interviewed a lvl 38 monk yesterday about some stuff.  He was super nice and told me about soaring leap.  He said this ability (lvl 34)  was TONS OF FUN!  he said he traveled using it and bounced aroudn liek a pogo stick.  He could jump really far when using it and when he uses it he moves exceptionally fast.  He can get to all sorts of places he isn't supposed, (lol!)  and jumps over his group doing 360s over them.  It's worth being a monk just to do that later on!  WOOT!  More on that later, i gotta get to class.

its nice knowing you can travel around extremely quickly with soaring leap. the downside to this is the game's flaw as where your character isn't planted down on the ground for approx. more than 3seconds (includes levitation, swimming, etc) while having agro, the mob can hit you. as long as they have agro, no matter how far you are, they will hit you. so you still need to avoid mobs. but this usually only occurs if youre jumping down a slope, or using a regular jump, and hitting soaring leap to go even further. if you just use soaring leap without the jump, mobs shouldn't be able to hit you.

Siul: it's for all monks.

Here's an update on Aspect of the Spirit Dragon - it's not that great lol. invis+levitation for 8 jin. i guess you might be able to find times to use it, but i'm sure if you have a group, people in your group can give these buffs to you either way. it doesn't do anything other than that.

edit: you can cast this on other players which invis+levi you and your defensive target.

Nothing too special IMO at this level.

I am waiting for level 50 to try out the 3 point attack chain.

Should hit it before server down.

Pretty sure Jakik has hit 50 by now

Can you do me a favor and list some of the harmi-only skills learned lvl30+?  There are so few info out there about high lvl harmi skills.

They are all finishers?  so you have to crit on three finger to get hammer, then crit on hammer to get exploding heart?  If thats true thats a bunch of BS (unless it's an insta kill).  Basically the chances of critting 3 times in a row for finishers (unless im missing something) is super rare.  Sure i crit often enough, every other attack, and once out of 5 finishers i'll get the advanced finisher, which means about a 25% chance to see exploding heart AT BEST (if it indeed is a finishing line).  So druids can nuke for 8k at lvl 30 and we have to get lucky to punch for 1500 at 50?   uglystupid2  tickedoff uglystupid2

I certainly hope the patch today makes all of this make some sense.........

Ugh, if they are all finishers I will be bummed.

I know Jakik and Daniel are the only ones to really test this one out.

I should be hitting 50 by friday.  4% an hour right now is just BS.

Who else is behind my tail in levels? Tongue

You know we might get stuff like soaring leap.. but it doesnt change the fact that we are extremely gimped.. i mean i have the legendary blade staff zank and some really nice gear but today after this "update" i cant even solo a even level 2 bubble without haveing to FD it off 50% of the time.. i mean wtf the dev's give the strongest healer class more freaking damage.. disiples even last forever and you cant kill them.. they RAISE THEIR DMG SIGNIFICANTLY. i swear the dev's should get a damn button saying hey our dev teams F'ing BLOWS! if they think the slightly increased base dmg for monks actually helps.. they are sadly mistaken. I really hope they give monks a break here soon because on the team pvp varking server, it goes from monks lvl 10-15 (21), 16-20 (6), 20-33 (5) then 33-50 (3)...... ON THE DOUBLE EXP weekend, and i personally know more then 10 monks that have quit or rerolled to a different class because of the crap we are givin. if the developers can not see wtf they are doing to the monk class, each and everyone of them should be fired from being a developer. Since i thought developers were supposed to be a help to the game, it seems that they want to eliminate the monk class form the game. JEEZ GET A F*ING CLUE DEVELOPERS!

oh and not to mention.. lvl 31 ranger crits for 9.5 when my highest crit which was 3200 when im 33.. ok i mean come on wtf! a ranger supposedly being a range class .. in melee out dmg's and out crits a monk ... LOL god i dont know why im still playing a monk.

GG you retarded dev's

I am honestly suprised that any monks made it over 33 on Varking Mal.  I spent 3-4 hours last night trying to solo and gained 15% exp, and most of that was from quest turn ins from RV.

To be honest I am pretty disappionted with the Palm Explodes Heart chain.

Unless they add melee damage to it, no point of wasting 3 chains on it.  I hit a max of 3k with it critted.  When the thousand fists chain hits 5k crit for me.
