Just logged in and found out that they nerfed Drunken sway by 20%. I cant imagine why anyone would use this god awful stance. (10% dodge bonus and 10% accuracy penalty vrs. 10% haste and 5% dodge) Really there is absolutely not use for Drunken monks defensive stance.

But know sigil, they will nerf our drunken mastery instead of making sway useful. If this cycle continues I think I may have to ask for my money back.

If thats how you feel your best bet is to play another class or muscle through it. I'm sure that the monk class will get something at some point. When, I dont know, but it doesnt make any sort of logical sense to keep nerfing an already underpowered class. You wont get any money back for playing though since you have used their resources already.

Thats like buying a cheeseburger and giving the last bite back to the cook saying you didnt like it and want a refund.

Monks were already the 3rd least-played class after level 20 (according to VGPlayers on all servers).  You hardly saw them anywhere.  They were already significantly underpowered compared to the other light fighters; groups I tagged along with would often pick up just about anyone but a monk, lol...

I made it through 15 levels and will continue to play my Drunken monk from time to time.  Having significant problems though, since even my wife is claiming he's a serious mana-sponge if he gets aggro.  I've got a 20th DK I'm thankful I was working on as my main; if Tanabras, my monk was my primary character I'd be pretty peeved right now at such a drastic and crippling change to what I had thought was an interesting class to play.  The thought of an evading off-tank was pretty neat.  Gone now, though....hopefully someone can tap the devs and ask them again just wtf they want monks to be doing in this game.  It's not DPS, it's not Off-tanking.   It better not be "hold the rez stone and be ready to FD"   tickedoff

If the FD rez stone thing IS the case they better make FD better, cause if you are in a full group most times you are fighting +2 levels 3 or 4 dot mobs which will cause you to fail FD like 60 to 70% of the time. And as you probably know having those beat on you and failing FD = you wont get much more of a chance to try again.

I so like the Monk. Main was a monk in EQ. I finally gave up because of constant nerfs. It now continues in VG. Why do they put monks in when they cant stand to let them kick ass. They are not allowed to tank because it offends the traditional axe weilding "THOR". I am sick of this crap. If VG dosent want  monks take the damn things out. It would be better to remove them than be some castrated aniemic bitch. Maybe monks should be made to stand by and assist in crafting, or hand out wisdom (diplomacy cards) on request. Perhaps specialize in brewing. We could spend all day crafting ale that sells in the market for 2 copper. God damn i am ticked. Monks should be every bit the tank. We play monks because they are cool, sic, neat, fine, the bomb, ect......, because we are tired of hitting the swing axe key.....PLEASE VG LET US KICK SOME ASS. fact is there are other games availible. I left EQ after 4+yrs,  I can leave VG.

Well... I myself think the monk was too good shortly after release. I and a couple of guildies formed a trio and entered the scorp cave in ToD. 13+14 monk and 14 shaman. We had no problems fighting the level 14 5-dot mobs there. That is a bit much so the first nerf was really called for.

The second nerf is a result of the modified evasion system which hit the monk pretty hard rendering the crane stance useless. I'm sure it was just an unintended side effect of this and Sigil will most likely take a look at the monk and tune it back some. What we could do is to present hard numbers to Sigil and not just say we suck. It's difficult to do something if we just say we suck, they need to know how.

I'm not giving up my monk or disciple just yet.

Just my 2c.
