Let me start by saying math is a 4 letter word to me. If I need to figure something out, I usually ask my husband to do it. But saying that, I went and bought a calculator yesterday just because of Vanguard.

I'm a level 30 monk. Monks get 12% dodge and 12% parry caps. This much I understand. At my level, I have average gear (46%EE) which gives me 213 dex (unbuffed), I'm a human and have been putting max points in dex and str. This 213 dex gives me 7.40% dodge on the tooltip. Now, I also have 60 points of Dodge from two pieces of gear. This as far as I understand it, raises my cap to 14% Dodge (also on the tooltip).

This all puts my dodge skill at 360 (normal being 300 for a level 30) which I have been told puts me at a Dodge Level rating of a character at level 36. Now, my question is, I have also been told that since I have +Dodge gear, that means whatever it says on the dex or defense tooltip, means it is the percent dodge against a mob the level of my dodge skill rating (level 36) and not the %dodge against an even con mob. Is this true? And how would I figure out what % I am at for an even con? Or have I been misinformed about what exactly +Dodge gives you?

Thanks for any explanations, as I am one confused monky Smiley
