                     WANTED
                           Brave Souls,
                      Able to handle any weather,
Able to reconcile by the stars
                      Able to cast violent magiks
Able to drink vast quantities of grog (or rum or ale)
Pay is 2 silver marks per week

Let it be known to them who would join in Privateership and Piracy, that under the Name of Glastonbury has been assembled a certain Company.  The Privateers make no Claims nor Boasts of Superiority, but would kill nonetheless any who would Impede our Merriment.

Membership in the Company follows firm Standard that, generally speaking, the Company shall be mature, quality Crew who like to Roleplay.  Open Roleplay does not prohibit Out-of-Character chatting, and visa versa, but the latter should be kept at Bay and not to Excess.  On this matter, the Company in general are not Roleplaying a fancy Royal house, but such who would join the Company of Privateers.  That is not to say a Noble, being so disposed and besmudged, would join the Company under said circumstance.

Leadership follows Shipboard rules, with the Captain and Officers for such duties as would befit them, but in essence all proven Crew are considered equals.  Life aboard Ship requires all to be involved in Affairs of the Moment, and steer the general course of the Ship.  Those Crew who are most vocal, as would happen in such Matters, tend to organize Affairs and keep the ship from Chaos.

Now, matey, read and mark the Articles below to join the Company of ye Privateers!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ye Articles:

All Crew of the Company have a Vote in Affairs of Moment; have equal title to the fresh Provisions, or Strong Liquors, at any Time seized, and use of them at Pleasure, unless a Scarcity make it necessary, for the good of all, to Vote a Retrenchment [cut-backs].

All Crew of the Company to be called fairly in turn, by List, on Board of Prizes, because, there are on these Occasions allowed a Shift of Clothes: But if they defrauded the Company to the Value of a Credit, in Resources, Jewels, or Money, Marooning is their Punishment.

To keep their Piece, Blades, and Cutlass clean, and fit for Service.

To Desert the Ship, or their Quarters in Battle, is punished with Death, or Marooning.

No striking one another on Board or in Safehouse, but such Quarrels to be ended on Shore.

If any Crew shall offer to run away, or keep any Secret from the Company, he shall be marroon'd with one Bottle of Rum and one Weapon.

If any Crew shall steal any Thing in the Company, to the Value of a Doubloon, he shall be Marroon'd or Shot.

If at any Time we should meet another Marrooner (that is, Pirate) that Person shall sign his Articles with the consent of our Company, or shall suffer such Punishment as the Captain and Company shall think fit.

That Crewmember that shall snap his Arms, or smoak in the Hold, without a cap to his Pipe, shall suffer the same Punishment as in the former Article.

That Crew that shall not keep his Arms clean, fit for an Engagement, or neglect his Business, shall be cut off from his Share, and suffer such other Punishment as the Captain and the Company shall think fit.

 OOC:

We've been a guild since the early days of DAoC; we're a buncha folks in our 20's to 50's who roleplay a bit; roleplay lite I guess you might call it. About half of the group is in the Western US; the rest are scattered throughout the US, England, Australia...

We're often playing drunken louts who are fighting the good fight. After DAoC as the Glastonbury Irregulars, we've been in SWG (Glaston Pirates), Shadowbane (Glastonbury Irregulars), Planetside (Glastonbury Brigade), WoW (The Boar Tribe), City of Heroes (Glastonbury Enterprises Hometown Heroes Department), etc. Our mascot? The Boar. Or the Ale Tankard. Take your pick.

We've had guilds/kinships/tribes in many games, and the main portal for the tribe can be found at http://glastonbury.guildportal.com. That's about it - we're fun loving, have relaxed attitudes, and are always looking for good people. Be mature(ish), open to some role play, and have a million dollars to send to a Kenyan prince who emailed me last week...

Wethere or not you've heard of us, drop a line at the Glaston Privateer boards ( http://glastonpirates.guildportal.com ) if you want in!  We're on the Florendyl server, yar...

Yar! Talk ta our Cap'n, Stash, an'Join' th' Glaston Privateers![/url]
