I read on the Vanguard forums that the monk has a mezz as well as feign death, but I don't see it listed on the abilities page. Was just wondering if this is true, since with mezz, a monk will be great puller.

Indeed we do.  You are referring to Nerve Strike I:

I am pretty sure its 30 sec cool down timer. So we are not a premier CC class also before you try. I have already attempted to Storm Stride with it and it wont let you  tickedoff

One wierd thing with nerve stike is... it cannot be used once in combat.
This has got to be a huge joke.  This requirement means i CANNOT enter into combat before i use the skill.

Ok, how the #### am i supposed to get into melee range to stun a mob without the mob trying to kick my ass? It's not like we can sneak.

I believe fein death is "suppose" to take you out of combat.  I know sometimes it does and other times it bugs no but it is suppose to

We can Sneak.  Came through on one of the final patches before Beta was shut down.

Interesting!! Never saw the patch note on this but if we do get sneak then it explains the seemingly stupid requirement of nerve strike.

thanks for the info

Check out the attachment.  Unfortunately, I forgot to grab the details on it as I was taking screenshots for the ability database.   Angry

Interesting...I was also unaware of Sneak.

In regards to the out-of-combat question.  Lets say you run up to two mobs and FD.  When youre laying there in FD you are not in combat, but you can still use your abilities.  So, you can run up, FD, and then mezz one...aggro'ing the other and bringing only one back to camp

Oh nice but by the looks of it... either its a lvl 34 ability or it is a low level ability you have not purchased. and yes Kilkalae that is the way I was thinking with FD and nerve strike

Cool! Being able to sneak will be a huge benefit during solo play especially.

It's not a stupid requirement, monks can get out of combat any time they want via FD. As far as sneak, dragon monks have always had sneak+lev in the form of an ability, but last I checked it was a 40+ ability. Are you guys saying all monks get a sneak at lower levels now?

I just got Nerve Strike but I haven't had a chance to try it out yet.  I believe it will be extremely useful maybe even to the point where it might get nerfed.  Because, as it was stated above, we can leave combat anytime we want.  So basically we can mezz just as well as psi's can.  And yes, it is a 30 second cooldown, so we can only mezz one mob at a time.

After I try it a bit, I'll let you know about the reliability and if it lasts 30 seconds every time.
