Hey all, I'm ashamed to admit that I've been playing my monk now for forever, but only just started thinking critically about how I could use my harmonious stances to my advantage during a fight.  (Before, I was using Legendary Tiger pretty much all through a fight)  Here are some ideas I've come up with that have really improved my game lately, and I would love some input to improve further.

I like to keep my ability buttons clean to monitor time downs and do combination moves manually as I go, so I keep 3 weapon /wear macros to the side of my abilites.  I decided to add some /combatformset commands to my weapon buttons & to my goading slap macro to see how I could do things more efficiently.

1: sword - opener, patch tanking
/wear "My Martial Sword"
/combatformset "Immortal Crane"
/cast "Reed in the Wind II"

2: wraps - open crits
/combatformset "Legendary Tiger"
/wear "My Favorite Handwrap"
/wear "My Second Favorite Handwrap"

3: staff - burn crits / use on high endu moves
/combatformset "Immortal Crane"
/wear "My Bladed Staff"

I've started opening fights with my sword button (especially while soloing or patch tanking) and then moving straight to my goading macro (which has a /combatformset "Legendary Tiger" in it after the ability now) straight away.  So in theory, I have the nice debuff from my sword on the mob while using a low endurance cost stance to put goading on my tank, and then I pop straight into Legendary to open crits with anything I use next.

Next, I move into my jin cost debuff, Withering Palm.  If that doesn't crit, Ashen Hand usually does, so I can pop the Staff macro and burn my debuff crit chain on low cost.

Now, staying with the staff, I'm applying my endurance cost debuffs (Deadly Adder Hand & Eagle Claw).  If they don't open a crit, I pop my wraps macro and use Crescent Kick and Ashen Hand together.  FD.

Back to the staff, Fists of Celerity, Crit chains.

For special circumstances, I've added a /combatformset "Immortal Crane" to my Pushing Hands button (which had an /autotattack in it after the ability anyway)

In addition, Soaring Leap now also has a /combatformset "Immortal Crane" before the ability.

So overall, I've improved my endurance use amazingly by adding these stance changes to my weapon swap keys.  But its alot of planning on the fly and extra button hopping.  Anyone have any ideas for improvement?
