Hey Brothers and Sisters

I see alot fo you listing handwraps as your primary weapons. Is this true? Id would have thought a 2 handed weapon would be preferred. I use the greystone staff and Im usually number 2 in dmg dealt behind the rogue in our guild when raiding APW. Would I do even more dmg with T5 handwraps of striking etc?

Appreciate any insight and recommendations for weapons I can get outside APW to make me more effective

Thanks in advance

greystone staff will probably be better then 2x handwraps of striking.

However once you get 1 legendary hand weapon, it should out dps graystone.   With Legions choking grasp + hand wrap of striking, i average 4-6k dps.  Well above the rogues on most fights.

The reason you see people using mostly hand weapons, is because thats what we have, theres no raid option for us to use 2 hander atm.

What fuj said.  Litterally the only 2h weapon dropping in apw for monks is SIGNIFICANTLY worse than the greystone bladed staff.

I suppose also if you really focus on int then you simply want to hit more often, period.  So 2x jagged striking handwraps may pull ahead of GS Bstaff depending on build anyway.  Hard to say.  Either way though is a pretty solid setup.  Smiley

Allso when using 2x-1handers, our 5-set item buff "Flow of Tranguility" (5% chance on attack to cast Fists of Celerity on self for 10 sek) has a much better chance to pop up. And that will make a huge difference.

The reason noone uses that is very simple: It's crap

"Damage per second" is essentially meaningless since auto-attack is a very minor part of our dmg.
ONLY take into account the line: "Damage 189 - 284" and then the various stats/mods on the weapon.

I'd recommend striking in primary hand and devastation in off hand.
