Got a question about slow and our secret of ice. Not sure anyone can answer it but best place i figured to ask:)
In apw a lot of mobs are unsnareable....when i proc ice on a mob i often get The mob is immune to changes in its movement. This i think should be changed to "The mob is immune to changes in its runspeed"  or "The target is immune to changes in its attackspeed" cause i never know if movement means runspeed or attackspeed. Could mean both.
Also does the attackslow component of secret of ice stack with other slowspells from other classes?  The debuff lands on all mobs but i never know if the attackslowing component has any effect on the mob. This i think needs a change so that the caster (monk) gets a msg if it slows or not...

Yeh that would be nice, i've always assumed attack speed % debuffs didn't stack,
if they did you'd have mobs with -300% attack speed Tongue
So i always use Secret of Fire in raids, leave the %slow to the shamans + clerics + psis, which are all bigger than ours.

What's going on with Secret of Transcendance btw....it's just a big joke now, can't see any point using it ever :/

ya was askin myself the same thing... before GU4, i dont think it removed my secrets of ice or fire..
Such a waste for 60 seconds for less dmg in spirit but 5% more damage.  Plus it actually ends up costing 12-13 jin since you have to recast fire or ice after the buff.

Yeah only times i use secret of ice is when im fighting firemobs in apw that gets healed by secret of fire... at least its easy to switch between the 2. If i KNEW that ice actually slowed the target id use it constantly.

I use ice most of the time while duoing with my shaman.  I was under the impression that it stacked with the shaman slow spell lethargy.

melee slows dont stack otherwise mobs would be 88% slowed in most groups im in.  Shm + brd + monk + rog ... i never notice a difference after the first 22% slow

I use it until the attack call comes and while the debuffs are still building up - to make healing on the initial couple of blows easier to do. Otherwise, there's little point in using it, yeah.

I sometimes use it when the tank 1st engages a raid mob, as i normally I will attack just after MT to get some early debuffs on.

Will also use Frost debuff during this time too.the first few seconds of an unbuffed encounter can be risky for any tank,  this technique can give the edge on harder encounters.
