For now to fix the 'green bug' issue, I just made /assist hotkeys for tanks and/or main assists, and leave my defensive target blank.  Works decent so far, though when i used an ability that self targetted and died, i still had the bug after i returned Sad  I had the bug in the past, though recently it's just appearing alot more often.  Probably the amount of deaths going up since we're getting trained so much on Griffon hunts ;p

According to today's patch notes.... it's fixed.  Heading into game as soon as Xeth is up, to test this out.  Be a huge relief to all of us who've experienced the 'green bug'

Well i talked to silius he says he thinks theyve got it nailed down so thats a plus.

On the other side i was able to reproduce it finally, and i got it to go away after dieing and being rezed

How did you reproduce it so we know what not to do?

Or did it just "happen"

*edit* KK I just saw the fixed post Smiley

My defensive target died but i never did.  Only happened about 1 in 6 times.

Hopefully the fix is in today, if not let me know and ill hound silius again... cause frankly the patch notes dont indicate its a fix for us unless you were using errant strike (which i wasnt)

Nope I'm dragon so no errant strikes for me either. I think the dev was just using that skill as an example. Funny when I think back but yeah, my defensive target did die when it happened. Just the sort of odd thing you have to look for when you bug track I suppose..

Ill try tonight if i can catch one online.

Just wanting to know. When you said this I think you referred to the attack-locking bug. Did you get a chance to ask them about the animations? Just asking as it's a long-standing issue which while doesn't affect the core class. It's already working for 1 secret (apparently, the last secret of ice?) so isn't a long fix.

Thanks Smiley

I asked but didnt really get a solid reply.  I get the impression all to often that the developers arent even aware of half the bugs we report.   It makes me wonder whats the point of /bug if the developers arent aware of them.  Ill try gain tonight, the last few days have been way to busy for them to deal with anything other then fixing gu4

Sadly they fixed one of the abilities we really didnt need fixed....Drunken monk's force taunt. Description has for a long time said "Same target  can only be forcetaunted once every 30 seconds". It was instant prior to hotfix yesterday and obviously not working as intended....now that they fixed it its useless....sigh... as of last night it seems to now only work every 30 seconds.... Cry
Thanks for making yet another of monk's abilities useless idiot2

Monks arent tanks in any way but we can use this ability to save a triggerhappy sorcerer or healer in some cases. Would be nice if they would make it instant again. A tank with this ability as instant would be wrong....i know....but a monk?

I have another post GU4 issue - weakness.
Pre GU4, weakness exploit damage was the same as hit exploited it.
For example, if Ashen Hand hit was 5k, exploit of soul wracked was 5k hit too. I used it a lot to upper my damage.
Sadly after GU4, weakness damage changed:

[20:12:49] [20:12] You exploit the soul wracked weakness on Tehatamani Scorcher, dealing 730 additional damage.
[20:12:49] [20:12] Your Ashen Hand VII hits Tehatamani Scorcher for 4241 (2802+1439) damage.

[20:13:12] [20:13] You exploit the staggered weakness on Tehatamani Scorcher, dealing 386 additional damage.
[20:13:12] [20:13] Your Crescent Kick VI hits Tehatamani Scorcher for 918 damage.

If this change was done on purpose all weakness system is useless (at least for monks) now and can be completely deleted from the game  Sad

Ellan NOTHING changed about weakness.  They still work the same.  Even if you saw
"exploited a weakeness for an additional 5k"
" you hit with ashen hand for 5k"
You werent really getting an additional 5k.  Pre gu3 weakness worked fine, and it was parsed and determined that weakness were buged and the "exploited for an additional dmg" was in fact just a copy of the total dmg.  So even though you may have seen 5k extra dmg, it really was only adding 600 or something
