Secrets of ice/flame   int adds as much dmg as str does for us.

In raids im an orc drunken monk, with str>int>dex built (4 4 2) .   Last night we did ~40 Megafluxer fights for ore, once i put on aum kor i say at 4k-4.9k dps.   The overall standings looked like this

Rogue (5 piece set bonus 2 legendary weapons)
Rogue (2 legendary weapons)
Drunken monk (1 legendary weapon 1 heroic, offensive stance)
Necro
bard/war
Harmonious monk (2 legendary in middle stance )

The harmonious monk is also a raki
str/dex/int
245/291/107

Me (orc)
327/ 245 /230

The higher str and into REALLY pushes me over the harmonious.  My secret of flame is hitting for 1k when his hits for 600.  Ill get the buffless stats at 50 tonight to better demonstrate this.

To me it look like Your Harmonious friend is just playing his class the right way.
About 40-50% of our attacks as Harmo would be debuffing the Mob = making it more easy to slay for the hole raid. And cos of the debuffs we naturaly can not do our top damage.

My point is. I would rater have a harmo monk in raid who is playing his cass right, than going all dps just to top the rest on the damage meter. Debuffing>dps, in most raid fights.

I disagree.  You lose no dps from debuff.  Every debuff you have adds dmg.  You dont magicly lose 1k dps from pressing 1-2 debuffs every 15 -30 seconds.    The reason the harmonious is so much lower is a few reasons.

1) Hes got WAY less str.... my average hit is >> his
2) hes got WAY less int... my secrets do 300-600 more dmg per hit
3) Hes using his middle stance not his offensive stance.... hes not at the crit cap, although ill admit he doesnt need the full 30% crit, he only needs about 15% to get to the cap, so hes not gonna benifit from it as much.  but 15% more dmg >>> jin regen

Harmonious setup

I have been runnign harm monk style since talkingto Fujitsu about stances and stuff, after being a dragon for 48 levels.

i am unbuffed at 459 str,   473 dex  , 205 int

in APW i run with a nice staff of Corruption, for enfeeble.

even with my debuffs and using Immortal Crane, I crank out some pretty serious DPS, often in the top 5 of the
raid for total DPS.

my flame often hits for 1-1.5k and my ice for 700-1k

by no means are we slacking int he DPS department

The celerity proc from wearing 5 pieces of apw gear is really really great Smiley make sure you Fd a lot though!
Compared to other classes i have spoken with, ours is actually the best proc....if you are looking from a DPS perspective...

The effects from wearing 3 or 7 pieces of gear is totally crap though, but the gear itself is really nice so...some crap is better than no crap i suppose ^^

But anyway..monks having it best certainly makes a change

and yeh...with the current state of sorc/ranger detaunts and abilites....it's close at the top of the dps parses between rogue and monk at the moment, monk is objectively more useful for a raid though Tongue Tongue monks fTW¬!

From what I've seen I would have to agree.

as far dps goes, i agree 100%.

as far as debt, agro, and dieing, ....lets just say im not longer 100% exp.  But it was worth it to finally parse the same as a rogue on a constant basis
