jin surge doesnt do much for PEH because its one BIG hit, then the dot, so the jin is added to the big hit instead of the dot.

The best you can do is to wear the bigest + dmg weapon u have, get in offensive stance then hit it.  Fist of celerity is 2 s cool down so it would never press both.

/wear "powered blade staff of devastation"
/combatformset "offensivestance
/cast "Jin surge v"
/cast "Palm explodes the heart"

When raiding i always get the Quickening Jolt from a bloodmage, wait for a crit to pop up, and press the macro as follows:

/cast "Fists of Celerity"
/cast "Quickening Jolt"
/cast "Three Finger Strike"

celerity/jolt arent on global cooldown.
use Aum Kor, psi buff and tell your bard to use "coda of alacrity" in the song, et viola you have 2 min refresh on it also.
Pretty simple macro, but funny because celerity and jolt stack. Lasts long enough for you to make good use of celerity on thousand fists chains or others too. Talk about maximize damage!
I couldn't live without it. Try on General Vicus for some fun  Cool
I wont quote you any numbers for dmg but believe me it's insane  Shocked

Oh i just thought, although i'm not drunken right now.....i was for a while,
was wondering if that Errant Strikes (or whatever it is called) would also stack with the above method.
It would be hilarious if it stacked:
Normal dmg x 2 x 2 x 2
Instead of a 15k thousand fists, you get a 120k ! rofl  Cheesy
although perhaps it doesnt stack at all.

Has anyone ever tried this, or if not would be willing to? I can't really be arsed changing styles again Tongue

Yes Errant strikes stacks with quickening jolt, and with fists of celerity however it isn't going to hit for 120k on a normal hit unless you are fighting general vicus or likewise mob, I think the way it is possible that you can miss part of the errant or fists of celerity extra attacks, and I also do not know how it caculates it because it does not always seem to be x2 my normal damage.  Using striking wraps, mine usually hit normally for 25-55k a piece if I have all those stacked.  More if they crit.

BTW Fujitsu since you recommend switching weapons do you have any idea if there is a penalty when you switch weapons, it seems like when I do that it skips at least one round of auto attacks.  With secrets that is a pretty big chunk of damage, for the little damage bonus I would get from switching to a staff for my specials so I have not been using that.

Interesting. The description for Celerity is "each attack hits twice", so it's possibly calculated as:
Normal dmg + Normal dmg

not as:
Normal dmg x2

and thus i postulate the other type of 'double damage' buffs use the same coding, so stacking Quickening Jolt with celerity would only give:
Normal dmg + Normal dmg + Normal dmg
and celerity with quickening and errant strikes:
Normal dmg + Normal dmg + Normal dmg + Normal dmg

Essentially stacking all 3 would give you a multiplication factor of 4, which is half of what i originally presumed....and would seem to fit the numbers you have been getting. Just speculation but seems like a reasonable assumption

Anyway....still a nice boost to your Exploding Heart chain  Smiley

2 things.
1) I dont think there is penalty for switching weapons, if anything yes it will reset auto attack timer for the new weapon.  This makes sense because people would use a fast weapon and a high dmg weapon and just swap back and forth just right so they get the high dmg attack with the low dly.

2) errant strike/celerity/jolt all stack however i beleive the way they work is they all act indepedently on the original attack. AKA  you WOULD have hit for 4k, so each one doubles the original.   for 3x 4k hits.
Ala ashen hand for 4k hit
jolt for 4k
errant for 4k
celerity for 4k

Its easier to see on test with the fixed logs ill go parse it real fast.

Yeah just did a few quick fights.

Regular hit for 6k
celerity added ~6k (1* dmg)
errant strike added ~9k (1.3* dmg)

I don't understand what you mean by this, fist of celerity doesn't have a cool down it's instant spam.  If you mean that it doesn't take effect right away I have noticed that too when I add it to my macros.  I tested it out by adding it to hammer fist and it didn't go off on hammer fist, but did on Palm explodes the heart.

I was thinking of errant strike, which triggers global cool down.  Anything skill that triggers global cool down cant be put in a macro that has a nother attack in it, because all attacks happen simultaneously so you can pause for those 2 seconds.

Didn't i read somewhere that there's a change to the game system that covers macro's coming?
Can't recall where i saw it, but seemed to imply you'd be able to add /pause commands.  I'll look for it and link if i find

Yeah they are changing the code used to control macros.  The code has the power to add pauses, but that doesnt necessarily mean theyll let us use them.

I've got mixed feelings on the macro thing anyways.

I'd rather compare myself to a button masher, then someone who's running on auto-pilot.

I just fear another SWG botfest
It's bad enough the crafters are doing it

I think taking macros out only hurts those that like the convienence of macros. If someone is the kind of player that BoT's they will get third party software and do it anyway IMO.

I

Would LOVE....if they did give us pause.  (granted so long as it doesn't open up a plethora of uncontrolled botting/exploits etc.)

Its the one thing I miss horridly from my eq macro options.
