Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Crit/dmg and other caps

Hmm well i always thought the crit cap to be between 60-65%
But actually this confirms the parse i took several months ago which showed Harmo critting for 42% (guess the extra 2% may have come from forced crits)
Even More of a reason for Harmo Monks to lose all their Dex and pump int, and to pick up gear more focused on % damage, Int or HP anything in fact other than more %crit. Any Harmos worried about losing 2% avoidance from swapping dex for Int shouldn't be, were still good enough to off Tank "Mortweave" Palpenipe the Masterminds add

Aye seems the order of preference is 2nd Monk, Rogue, Necro Or warrior Invun while tag off.
tho if mezables are part of the pull, ill mark them before pulling, so when they come our mezer A mezes fire mezzer B mezes spade, you get the idea, saves confusion with adds of same name.

bah im at work ill fix it tonight.
Yea i have chest (made), and the rest not made legs, gloves, arms, belt
I think ill get wrist and helm and just pick up a random piece of shoulder loot
On a side notes jagunds bp isnt half bad either i would have gotten it over apw tunic if it didnt look like t5 crafted
Jagunds looks Pretty Cool immo it isn't the crafted look looks something different http://vgplayers.station.sony.com/characters.vm?characterId=111669154958Dusty Chain grieves of the Guardian is similar style too

The answer is have 2 sets of armor hot keyed.
one set for pulling evasion/HP parry sword and defensive stance
one set for pure DPS %Crit %damage % melee damage etc..
gives the option of using fd during a fight to swap gear.
you will however still die lots in APW this is just the way it is

Kota also has a bad ass pair of boots"boots of Blackness".worn effect is +5pct evade and increase runspeed stats are 163 ac, 17 str,34 dex,102 hp,+22 Melee evasion(0.59%),+77 Damage rating(2.08%)---yes straight Damage..not just melee rating.
I saw another Monk on Halgar with these Boots, tells be they dropped from Zaygius!

Soft cap on stats is 18* your level (aka 900 at 50)
Im not sure, +100 crit is about 2.3%, i just go by the %'s
2 fist wraps = 7.5% crit Full suit of jagged = 12% Harm offensive +30% ( i think)
dex is +20%
Im not 100% sure, but i BELEIVE harmonious monks dont benifit to much (if any ) from jagged gear since they are at the crit cap already for buffs/abilities
Dex though should have its own 20% cap.
Im not 100% sure on this since i havent parsed my harmonious in over a month since i started raiding and dont hve time to switch
Id say your about spot on, Harmo Monks arnt doing much more str capped crit capped, hmm what to do now? ah more Int, yes that will do

A Long while Back i remember finding a Medium Armour Monks robe type Garment worn in the Chest slot, the graphic was a Fryer Tuck Style "Monks Robe". im unsure if its in game still, but it looked pretty cool and left people wondering what class you were.

The way i see it is that the 7 peice set bonus is the way to go. And is worth it alone for the Celerity Bonus proc!
That leaves us 2 slots free for alternative raid mob Armour.
Although i have to agree, I have yet to see the Monk "Whos Ya Daddy " weapon. Maybe it will come from this dragon? maybe from another GU4 Raid Mob?
Who knows,? at the moment its nothing worth getting uptight about.

I'm same as Fujitsu, dragon 15-50. I loved it and never complained Then i tried all other styles a bit, and came to the conclusion harmonious was best. Dragon is so weak and gimp right now :/ stuff like that dragon beath AoE, and the -10%mit in offensive stance...i could never go back to dragon..i'd feel...dirty...violated... I was once like you however, devout Dragon monk. Although i've had a long-term affair with harmonious, if they ever made dragon better dps than harmonious i'd go back. Thing is....my guild has done some Dps parse logs ( http://yavlp.areyoureadyforpain.org/publish.htm) i come out top everytime, TWICE yes twice the dps of the highest sorc, and roughly 20% more than rogues. To actually make dragon the most dps, it'd have to be the "hugest beast of a damage dealer of all time" :O and with the bear sham/cleric/psi endurance buffs nullifying the harmonious penalty...i don't see how they can manage it, without giving dragon offensive like +50%dmg lol Same for me my Harmo Monk is a DPS machine, wouldnt go back to dragon till its fixed.
