At 30s, if you get the cragwind weapon, stormslam....

Sorry for my low knowledge, are those H2H weapons and if they are - where are they to get - maybe a link or something would be really nice. Just looking for some good H2H weaps in 30ish range. Thanks

Without looking on path, Dragon or Harm or Drunken, what weapon style you guys think (or know?) is greatest damage? H2H or 2hand? Offcourse with top end weapons at 50.  Now at middle range H2H beat 2hand by far imho, crit bonus from weapons is huge, even when you wield 2hand with Tiger stance you still dont habe damage boost from dragon stance.

Well maybe Dragon path = H2H  and  Harm path = 2hand . In the end i think that Dragon with H2H dish more out.

I play this game from Beta - from first day. Definitly i can say that the performace is much beter than in early days. Chunk loading times are lowered, specialy for lower machines and low ram. Bugs are still there, think it would allways be a part of VG, but not that much as after beta. SOE is working on it, you can see and feel the changes everytime they play new update on.

Monk class got a bit improved, our styles have new looks, not all punches and kicks looks standard - damage and s on...

We got riftways to travel faster, also flying mounts on each you can rent for few minutes - traveling is beter now, definitly but stil some kind of pain Wink

Hope it helps a bit....

Celestial ward stars (at least heroic, but legendary is what im getting) -  290 dmg, 45 rng, + crit
....
Possibly: (if u can stand the intense grind) the levi cloak, underwater breathing mask, super jump boots, from dragons backbone gnomes.

Question, those stars, are the limited pack or just some kind of "endless quiver" pieces?  Smiley

Underwater Breathing Mask - any direkt link to this quest? didnt really realized those reward at those gnomes....
66  Monk Discussion / Monk Gear & Equipment / Re: Hand to Hand - offhand slower vs. faster one on: September 05, 2007, 07:10:36 AM
I agree and disagree.

Im a drunken monk and love it! Now, Where the game currently sits with Warriors are basically the Jerry's Kids of the game right and monks currently not to much farther above them. Monks have been neglected since the end of beta (actually before that) and we are in need of a crucial looking at. True we got a couple of things that helped Slightly but when i run into pvp with my guild the people that always stand out are the clerics/necro's and twinked bards/rangers. We STILL Dont do enough Output dmg to stand ground in pvp without having to pop one person run like crazy to a healer pop anothre and hope you can run back to get healed. In PVE Us Monks are decent but in PVP We are one of the bottom rung on the ladder. I hope SOE will come out and give monks the loving we deserve but as it looks right now were not going to be getting anything any time soon.

false thread?  Wink
67  Monk Discussion / Monk Gear & Equipment / Hand to Hand - offhand slower vs. faster one on: September 03, 2007, 07:46:21 AM
Anyone parsed this? Anyone tested something about slower or faster weapon in offhand.
What is the better way?
Slower weapon lowers the damage from mainhand but also raises the offhand damage.
I allways asked me is there a perfect combination, just like in older games - slow huge sword in mainhand and fast dagger in offhand.

Im actualy using two crafted handwraps both with 2,25 speed.

Whatever, maybe someone here knows more or done some tests - would be nice to hear   Smiley

68  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Love of the Challenge-Monks are no easy "fear-dot-fear" class! on: September 03, 2007, 02:04:31 AM
/agree Lokii

Me as a Dragon Monk, it is allways a challenge, against 3dot or few 2dot, to dish out more damage in short time as they can dish out on me  Grin

I love it when im on 30% health and my styles start epic criting and all those hordes in front of me die before my health drops lover than 10%. I love to "hard-dps" and fake death after i killed a mob in pull of 2-4, just to make the encounter without needed a group or crowd control or healer or tank. Its not a easy life, as you said, but its a count of good work and you know after it that not everyone can make it this way  Wink

I played Ranger to lvl 32, i played Bard to lvl 30, played even rogue till 20 - and monk is imho best offense fighter, best in fun and style,  even with his bugs monk is imho the strongest offense fighter. Works fine solo and glances in groups. This game is a group game, so classes that really shine solo are not that atractive. There are some classes that really shine in groups, and thats the point of it - and thats the field a monk move at.

I think its the same as in EQ1: you are a monk or you are not a monk  Wink
