So Fujitsu, what do you want than instad? Another one deavsting direkt damage? cause we dont have some? another one game breaking finisher? cause we dont have enough?

Its a Dragon monk skill only so it have to fit in. Another one AE would push up a bit out "AE King" thing or whatever.

Not only ubor skills are good skills Fujitsu, skilled players know to stack normal skills to make something posible.

It says "breaking invis" not  "breaking our invis". It make sense to break rogues invis or bard invis when you "fell" they are there near you in PvP. Its a tool and not another "i kill you all with one hit devasting ubor damage clicky"

Look at you sugestion -  6K dot + 10%-15% critrate + damage buff for 1 hour , lol? Do you really think we get something like this? Stop dreaming.

You cant push up one monk style to hell and leave other two behind on bottom - at the end all would be than dragon and why than styles?

Atm this skill is totaly pointless, at least it would be fun skill with good use if you know hoe to use it well.

My post is sirious - when i joke it sounds different

I personally would not mind a suit of light armor if it capped out our evasion skills or gave us monk / ninja / shaolin clicky effects.

~QTM

Hmm, verry good idea - lack mitigation but give us huge evasion on gear.  Would show more the playstyle, some chose mid gear with more AC and mitigation but less evasion. Some love the danger of beeing onehited but trust on their high evasion.

Aye, its bugged somehow, at least before patch you know what comes or not when you FD -  now its a casino play.

Dont think this is the version they wanted it to work how.

Waiting for fix....

P.S.
Anyone else anoyed about new FD animation? Every time i see my monk FD i think "go down, go down gooo dooowwwnn"    :-)
19  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: auto counter on: October 21, 2007, 06:12:54 AM
Ok i tested it, and you are right. For some reason we got more GC "animations". I pull mob, he hits me and first thing i got is GC animation over my buttons (you know dark grafic falling down from button)  - CANT use macro BUT i can click them manualy with mouse. Same for reactions, also those which had no GC get the GC animations, macro dont use them (cause they are something like on Gc) but i can klick them even if GC animation is on the run.

Tested it also with my Dread Knight, same here with his counterattack, non usable on macro instant but clicky....

Is it a hided nerf from last patch? To stop guys using various macros? Anyone else with this problem? QTM?

Dragon monk should be AE king. Make this buff so to fit this.

- Huge AE pulse damage, same as cleric ones (those with blades around him, cant remember name) but more devasting damage on it
- Let the pulse go trough invis, breaking invis with maybe some really small dot component (maybe 5damage/tick for 30 sec)  cause of restealthing , bards and such in pvp
- Toss stun component in it, chance of 10% or so to stun enemy at hit with pulse
- Make duration about 1 minute and 5 minute reuse or something, not permanent - just when needed clicky
- Cost endurance, not jin - we are allready enough maying with jins for buffs
- As a pasive for non damage toss some fire resist on it, huge cause of further raids maybe - let Dragon mokns be near imune to fire.
- Add a grafic on it, something like monk is burning in flames, it would be showing others in PvP that huge damage buff is on monk (more than fair) and it would let our hearts beat more ;-)

Other version would be pretty same but huge radius and deadly damage BUT it cost endurance per tick, so it would be hard to use the buff and style. At least burning our self down to solve situation with many mobs. Get in, toss it on and see how 10 mobs goes down and home healers are heals you (same feeling when sorces bombing)

I would like to see when i click it a diference in something, to feel it like "damn its rocking" and not as "well at least i hit mob for 50 damage with it..."

Its the only one fight buff we get as a dragons, let it feel like worth chose dragon line.

Jea sound interesting, like coats from ranger - just more things to change and put out for different situations

Martials swords with Katana look  Wink

Mabe special monk gear, disciple and monk gear with "verry light armor " look - look back to EQ1.

I think stats and so are not that lacking now, most high end gear looks good for monk (in case of stats) its only lacking on grafixxxx   Smiley

What about totaly new weapon line ? Maybe based on usual skill like Sai Forks with  Ulak and Claws skill (it would be slower version of ulak and claws, similar to longblades, 2.75 something)

Onehand Katana and Wakizashi in offhand? Based on Martial Sword skill? Katana full damage with 2,75 longblade speed and Wakizashi similar to parry dagger, no damage but huge defense? It would replace anoying martial sword that calls itself two hand but its wielded onehand (also in chinese martial art too)

What about Hoods? Real Ninja caps, bandanas? Uniqe look, not just like weaponless rangers....

I have tons of such ideas, pictures from other RPGs and so on, cant imagine that Sony Devs are such boring - toss some fantasy in game maybe with next addon, what ever...

Hmm, it should work, i will test it tonight exactly with your macro.
24  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Upcoming Monk Changes on: October 19, 2007, 07:57:16 AM
  • RiTW : You asked for it you got it, All 3 versions now last longer cost lowered to 10 end and now with a reuse timer of 1 min. Rejoice!.
~QTM

Damn nice! This would bump up defense special for us Dragons.  Really nice change, i love it!. Thanks for your work Quinn.
25  Monk Discussion / Monk Gear & Equipment / Re: Power Bladed Staffs on: October 19, 2007, 05:54:25 AM
@Syb

what style are you? Cant imagine that a los of 7,5% crit for dragon or drunken without high end gear "not worth to have it" is.

2hand damage, specialy crit damage is maybe more but 7,5% crit is huge number for non harmo monks.
26  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Harmonious stance problem! on: October 18, 2007, 06:07:02 AM
@ Quinn
Highjacking this thread, cause of bug issue - some harmo styles are still there after respecc back to dragon - jfyi

I can stll use my Wave hand

Toss this to Talisker too pls when you are speaking next time with him.
27  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: auto counter on: October 16, 2007, 04:31:09 AM
It works verry well with /cast. At least all styles are "casts"

Just set up you macro that it count down how important styles are, which one you prefer instead of other - set him above the other. Anytime you hit the macro, computer checks - starting with first , than second and so on, if the style is ready (reuse or GC or requirement like crit, dodge , parry, endurance, jin). Once one style is used - one WITH GC, macro ends (without GC like Stinging or crescent macro continues and gets one more style next in line).

look at this macro:

/cast "Wanning Palm I"
/cast "Stinging Backfist I"
/cast "Crescent Kick I"
/cast "Boundles Fist I"
/cast "Ashen Hand I"

What happens when you hit it? Computer checks the first style - wanning palm. Its not ready cause you didnt parryed. Ok it checks second - Stinging Backfist. Its not ready cause you didnt dodge. It checks Crescent and reuse timer is ready and macro "cast" it. Cause its not on GC macro get checks next one too - Boundless Fist. Its not ready cause you are low on endurance so it checks last one in macro - Ashen hand and its ready cause you got 4 jin and macro casted it.

So you done what in a part of a second and with only once pressing the button? You didnt miss any reactive and you "casted" crescent and Ashend at same time causeof no GC on crescent.

I use such macro only for my finishers, so when finisher-sound comes i just hit the macro and dont have to look first which one is not on reuse atm. Ofcourse my prefered finishers goes out first and Flying lamekick at least when everything other is on reuse timer Wink
28  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Global Cooldown on: October 16, 2007, 04:18:12 AM
Well, not that easy like without 2 sec reuse but still able to burn every player, 2dot and maybe 3dot in second (well dont think 3dot - maybe weak one awith crit luck).

Still you can open with Ashen -> boundless -> crescent -> six dragon ->  dragon feet and toss maybe after every style another finisher cause of crit. All this in a half second. Would be about 8-10 attacks (with lot finishers beetween, not unusual at 50 and high crit rate).

Its a nice thought, but its nice for solo offline game to have fun - it would never "balance" with VG or other classes Wink

Maybe just put finishers down from GC (reuse stays) so it burns when we crit and use them - like PEH 3 in a row instant or drunken 4 in a row instant with T.Fist finisher line or Dragon 3 in a row AE finisher (would be at least feels like AE King...)
29  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Global Cooldown on: October 16, 2007, 02:32:41 AM
Im talking about no recast timer and no 2 sec reuse timer instead, just this what you described in your first post
30  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: auto counter on: October 16, 2007, 01:38:15 AM
Make a macro something like

/cast "Wanning Palm I"
/cast "Stinging Backfist I"
/cast "Crescent Kick I"
/cast "Boundles Fist I"
/cast "Ashen Hand I"

pressing this button will use the styles in order first to last. So if Wanning Palm or Backfist are up, cause of parry/dodge, it will use them - if they are not up it will use next style in your list -> crescent kick, or if it is not up than Boundless fist and so on

All they are instant so it happens by only pressing the macro once.

I use such macro for Finishers, to be sure allways using Gouging first than T.Fist and so on. It automatic use next in line when first on reuse timer.

Hope it helps
