1  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Reed in the wind -- Monk learned ability on: January 29, 2008, 07:46:02 AM
The bats in Dargun's Tomb taught me Reed in the Wind 2.  I got the first "learning" bit off of a roach, but the second and third off of "infected" bats in the back of the first floor.
2  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Animations post patch.. on: May 10, 2007, 07:37:10 AM
Hadn't played in a couple weeks and came back last night, and was quite surprised to see weapon trails and the like on my monk.

Though, is it just me, or using a pair of knuckles, did the Boundless Fist animation get a lot longer, with the "Power Ranger" style warm-up?  I'm not quite so sure I like it.  I'm pumping my arms more than punching these days.
3  Monk Discussion / Monk Quests / Re: Faction and quest on: May 01, 2007, 07:02:35 AM
(btw, Quinn if you read this, could you let someone know that monks get gimped out of having air brakes on the power suits because it uses energy...which we don't have. I really wish they would let all the devs know that ONE class doesn't get energy so they should stop putting it on reward abilities)
One would think it'd just be easier to give us an energy pool we didn't normally use for anything.
4  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Nerve Strike N Stuff on: April 01, 2007, 08:30:57 AM
Nerve Strike's very good.

If someone other than you pulls with a ranged attack, you can nerve strike an add before ever entering combat.  30 seconds of excellent CC is not something to scoff at, especially since we can reapply it mid combat through Feign Death.
5  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Secret of Ice Proc Rate? on: March 23, 2007, 09:58:35 PM
Let me pose a question: Which would you rather have increased base damage from this skill or up the proc rate to give it utility?
I use Storm Dragon stance if I'm looking for damage.  The reason I put up Secret of Ice is solely for the utility.
