1  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: GU 4 bugs - (no drama) - post on: March 18, 2008, 02:13:22 PM
Nope I'm dragon so no errant strikes for me either. I think the dev was just using that skill as an example. Funny when I think back but yeah, my defensive target did die when it happened. Just the sort of odd thing you have to look for when you bug track I suppose..

Well i talked to silius he says he thinks theyve got it nailed down so thats a plus.

On the other side i was able to reproduce it finally, and i got it to go away after dieing and being rezed

How did you reproduce it so we know what not to do?

Or did it just "happen"

*edit* KK I just saw the fixed post Smiley

Oh, you can't change stances on mounts either. I got bucked off doing so last night.

Heres the deal. For bugs i need as much info as possible
Level:
Form:
Bug:
Chunk where it happened:
Solo or grouped:
Members of the group (and their level):
What ui (and what version):
Anything else: (did your defensive target die, did the mob die while you were your own defensive target etc)

Same thing happened to me last night
Lvl 49
Dragon
Boundless Fist, Six Dragon's Strike, Ashen Hand, Cresent Kick..That reaction has timed out...
Grouped with Lvl 49 Druid
Original UI

I logged out and back to reset it and it worked then it happened again. I'm not positive it was FD that preceded both instances of the bug.
Oh, we were fighting winged overseers, grinding Lucent faction. Not sure of the chunk name off the top of my head but those familiar with Lucent grinding would know from that clue Smiley

So when going with int to increase secrets damage there is no "set" int which it caps at? I was thinking the int had to be a certain number, then you make con the 3rd stat after you reach that number.

I like the Parrying focus on Martial swords personally

As Far as I been told by a dev "Working as intended"

Hmmm... Ok... *looks for the "respec" button..*

You want str and dex as your primarry attributes, if your on a pvp server i would go for CON next for the hp and resists.

I personally go str>dex>int because int affects secrets and at 50 200 int vs 50 int is an extra 300 dmg per proc.

Question here... I understand the logic behind this but... isn't it that int affecting secrets a mistake? I mean if this ever gets "corrected" then wouldn't you be stuck with alot of int you no longer need?
9  Monk Discussion / Monk Gear & Equipment / Re: What monk stuff would you like to see in APW??? on: October 29, 2007, 11:22:31 AM
I remember reading somewhere that the game provides PVP as a service and the classes were really never meant to be balanced for PVP. Someone may know a bit more about that than I do.
10  Disciple Discussion / Disciple Gear & Equipment / Re: Crafting and monk weapons on: June 23, 2007, 11:25:05 AM
Thanks for the help Singhian. Is those weapon we can craft good compared to the best we can get from loots?

Compared to the BEST from loots? In my experience I would have to say no. Top end loot beats out crafted weapons from what I have seen. But a good crafted weapon is plenty good to use until you get to those heroic/legendary goodies.

As a weaponsmith you can craft Bladed Staffs, Claws and Martial Swords. You can also craft Shuriken to throw. Both Qalian and Kojani smiths can make these, I believe Axes are Thestran only. Martial Staffs and Handwraps are crafted by Wood Artificers and Leather Outfitters respectively. As far as which style is the best, I suppose it would depend on your preference for the continental effects.

Qalian continental effect:

Tier 2
Chance to heal for 6 to 10 on attack
Adds +8 to spell damage types Spiritual and Arcane

Tier 3
Chance to heal for 6 to 10 on attack
Adds +8 to spell damage types Spiritual and Arcane
Increases Hit point max by 8

Tier 4
Chance to heal for 6 to 10 on attack
Adds +8 to spell damage types Spiritual and Arcane
Increases Hit point max by 8
Increases Spiritual and Arcane resists by 3

Tier 5
Chance to heal for 6 to 10 on attack
Adds +8 to spell damage types Spiritual and Arcane
Increases Hit point max by 8
Increases Spiritual and Arcane resists by 3
Arcane damage shield +5

Kojan continental effect:

Tier 2
All Damage +3
Adds +8 to spell damage types Physical and Mental

Tier 3
All Damage +3
Adds +8 to spell damage types Physical and Mental
Increases Energy max by 8

Tier 4
All Damage +3
Adds +8 to spell damage types Physical and Mental
Increases Energy max by 8
Increases Physical and Mental resists by 3

Tier 5
All Damage +3
Adds +8 to spell damage types Physical and Mental
Increases Energy max by 8
Increases Physical and Mental resists by 3
Physical damage shield +5

I hope this helps you out
