I was able to solo pretty good again with reed in the wind, now 2 minute refresh  Cry
2  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Dragon changes. on: April 11, 2007, 11:37:01 AM
At 50 the health regen is approximately 75 HPs a tick. Not super overpowering awesome but if FD and you have a DoT ticking away you shouldnt fear the reaper so to speak.

~QTM

Well I played with it as a level 26 dragon monk and while its helpful id like to see it more regen out of combat. The regen is not noticable in combat. I get 36 hp every 6 seconds, i get hit a ton harder then that and would need more regen to make it worthwhile to use over storm dragon. I still like the idea of regen only out of combat but a nice chunk more then its giving now. So would still regen in feign and keep downtime low.
Just an idea.
3  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Test server update 10th april ~ on: April 10, 2007, 04:21:09 PM
Im happy its starting but "slightly" is a bad word to use on an ability that didnt regen at all , how about "a ton"  Cheesy
Can anyone say how much the regen is? Will it be worth switching to? <crosses fingers>
4  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Fix Feign! on: April 09, 2007, 10:46:59 AM
Talisker or one of them even said its not working as intended so stop saying its fine and to "learn your class". The only thing we are learning is to deal with it until its fixed and be like they intend.

And I agree, failing feign many times when your not even the target of the mobs attacks is just bad bad bad. Its a bit hard to convince groups to bring a monk incase of a wipe if we cant even feign when we arent even getting attacked.

Call over to SOE and ask to look at monk feign code for ideas on how to get it workin  coolsmiley

Odd, ass a dragon monk i REALLY want regen, if its noticable enough. Cleric regens i dont seem to notice. Now if its more like a low level HoT spell, woohoo!
Perfect to keep downtime to a minimum, which compared to other classes I have a ton of. And also while feigned/pulling regen is great.

Just hope its enough regen /crosses fingers

Its stone dragon stance i think is bit lame, i still think 20% more damage with that 20% slow would make it worthwhile as a tank situation.

Thanks Quinn! I think most of us just really needed a word, just felt beat down each patch note but this has really helped my attitude  Wink

Curious on the health regen, did you get to try it? Like how much? I personally dont care if it works in combat as long as out of combat is like food level or close. Just the idea of being feigned and regening makes me giddy  laugh

Conspiracy theory of the day. My isp went down up here in the north west, and two guildies in other parts of the country were down at different times today too. <x-files music>

Its a vicious cycle. Not enough play monks to spam the message boards to get fixed faster because everyone knows we are broken so few bother so we become a minorityto deal with and always on the back burner.  Cry
8  Monk Discussion / Monk Quests / Re: Lord Tsang Tomb (LTT) Monk weapon quest. on: April 05, 2007, 10:45:32 AM
The weapon Dakkar becomes Kel'Dakkar which is monk AND disc usable martial sword. 27 dps and 18% parry vs 24th level mobs. Pretty cool sword to get you up to some of the cool player made weapons and/or Pantheon of the Ancients weapon.

Not to pester or annoy but it has been over a week now and maybe Talisker can stop over for a minute and say whats up. Nothin on test server, not a peep here either on any changes or fixes.

Talisker said some bugs easily fixed, maybe list a few of the big ones and just how easy they are, as in when will we get em? When do monks get an official pass and really look at our issues?

I have played all classes except Psi into the 20s and monk is by for the one with the most out and out broken, not working as intended, below what they are said even by Sigil should be.

Stances not workin at all<dragon regen stance and if not enough regen not worth usin anyway> FD still wack and cant feign pull <borrow eq1 code? heh> shuriken damage still broke, our dps lower then it should be since monks are suppose to be the highest in light but thats rangers right now <crank up auto attack damage maybe> and our mitigation was nerfed way too far back. Ok sorry i wrote longer then intended but I feel strongly monks need to be looked at now.

And lower soaring leap level into the 20s since rangers got sow lowered to 12 for fun  Wink
10  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Monk love soon. on: April 03, 2007, 01:00:53 PM
A week now and not a tiny little monk change on test yet, and the only word we hear is a nerf to an ability that rangers basically have without the nerf part?
Gettin a little disapointed as i level, im 23 now. Watched a guildie ranger solo , at 21 mind you, those 3 dot wolves in jin'ka forest without any downtime except to cast a heal. I try at 22 and had to feign all the tries i did. I have Kel'dakkar and tier 2-3 armor including rare pieces too.

What board can we go to and start bothering Brad to look close at us?   Cry
11  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: abilities not used on: April 03, 2007, 11:05:19 AM
Iron hands  ;p
12  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Monk love soon. on: April 03, 2007, 11:03:17 AM
Other classes can basically spam their buffs without stopping, so even like 6 Jin to make our self only buff last an hour seems only fair. And a reason to meditate when starting the day heh. I plain just dont use Iron Hands as it is, I just forgot more and more to use it and now its habbit.

If they dont sit down and just fix our problems I vote for a cage match against all the programmers against QTM. Give them a smackdown Q!  Cheesy
13  Monk Discussion / Monk Tactics & Techniques / Re: Macros Macros Macros!!! Post up all your useful macros. on: April 02, 2007, 02:13:00 PM
No sadly, just whatever is first avalable in a chain. But its mostly meant for normal kills where you just kinda spam abilities that come up and no real strategy. If you wanna use a specfici one you can always manually click it.
14  Monk Discussion / Monk Tactics & Techniques / Re: Macros Macros Macros!!! Post up all your useful macros. on: April 02, 2007, 11:02:26 AM
Fast loot macro change. Only need two lines now.
/lootall
/targetnextcorpse

Thats all you need to loot a body fully and target the next body and repeat. It closes the window now so no need for the close loot window lines.

Reactions hotkey. This works great for us with our parry based and dodge based reactions and also our crit chains all in one key. Even uses the advanced finisher too!

/reactionautocounter
/reactionautochain

In that order your counter is used if for some reason all go off, counters to me are bit superior so just my preference.
When you hear or see a chain/counter go off just hit this one hotkey. If you get the kick off the adv finisher opens and you can use the hotkey to activate that as well. Clears a ton of hotkey space and I actually get to use my counters a lot now instead of missing their fast cooldown.
15  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Monk Wish List on: April 01, 2007, 12:26:19 PM
Allow Nerve Strike to be used with Stormstride!  Cool
And let nerve strike be used in combat and turn off melee when used.
Umm, lower the level req for soaring leap to like the 20s!

Just all around monk pass and love for a week or two  smitten
