Well I mean you can have a bunch of chests, too. Pretty useful for guild banking etc. It also serves as a prestige marker, the materials aren't easy at all to get. It shows hard work and dedication.

Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Monk Wish List

So I understand that things are turbulent at the HQ, but I still play so I'll add my input to this thread Fix Palm Explodes the Heart. It is currently useless. 5 minute reuse and even using all 3 links, it is still outdamaged by Thousand Fists/Thundering Fists. This is probably my biggest issue with the class at the moment, since I, like most Monks, looked forward to this skill since I started my character. Add more benefits to using 2h weapons. I don't even carry my T5 flawless staff anymore. It is item level 53, as are both of my claws, yet the DPS is the same on 1 of my claws (71.35 DPS on 1 claw and 71.38 DPS on the staff). Now, I understand that topend damage is important for skills, but I have parsed and my DPS with a staff is nowhere near my DPS using claws. Do something else with Ignore Pain. Make it percentage based, add a Jin cost, reduce the cooldown in my opinion. Reduce the cooldown on the secret of fire/ice by 5 seconds each, so that they can be chained. Extend the timer on Transcendece. Celerity is great, keep it the same way. Reduce the cooldown on Goading Slap so that it might be useful in a real fight. 1600 hate doesn't mean jack at level 50 unless you're piling it on. Lastly, I think it would be a cool idea to give Monks an alternate discipline. For example, you can be Harmonious spec with an alternate spec in Dragon style. Maybe give a toned down version of one of the stances, some of the basic skills, etc. This is just sort of an idea, and I realize it would require a lot of tweaking, but I think it would add a lot more variety to the class rather than "Rawr I debuff. Rawr I do really bad AEs and some ok DoTs. Rawr I can tank, but not really" mentality of the current discipline situation.

Hehe, yeah, this game is far easier than EQ ever was. When EQ was first released, the learning curve was harsh. I died many, many times as a newb and lost tons of corpses. 4-5 years (possibly more, cant remember) they introduce corpse summoning, which was a bad idea in my opinion. This game is released with a "corpse run" no more than 3km away from your corpse and the ability to summon your corpse right away.
Plus, the highest end content in the game, can be done in a week with ease. Rahz Inkur is like a joke. Oh no, Majordomo hits for 1.5k and has a lot of HP! Oh lol, he's dead, nvm. Only gotta kill him 4 more times to get something useful. In EverQuest, you had stuff like Nagafen and Vox right away, which were DEEP inside a dungeon, and were extremely difficult to defeat. Not just that, but it took hours to arrive at them. Rahz Inkur, when we want to kill Majordomo or Seskarlan, we just avoid 70% of the mobs and arrive at the desired named n under 25 minutes with ease. We've even found a way around that, and can go from Khal to a targetted named in under 15 minutes.

Take the portal in Khal to Strandan. The quest turnin guy is here, but you actually get the quests to the west in a small hunter village. Your first quest is to kill the groundserpent. You can do this solo around level 38, but it's still very difficult, 3dot mob and all. Next you gotta gather 3 chilopod segments and go summon the carnipod. Once this is complete, you can do rank 3 and 4 hunts after turning in your two badges for a crappy pendant. I would just skip rank 2, I think it's bugged now anyway. Rank 4 is a joke for those leggings, I did it right after rank 1. Rank 3 is much harder, as you need two badges for the pendant. For the golem, just bring a healer and go defensive. For the other part you either need to split with stun, or have a CC class. Rank 4 is the mad psionicist, who is a joke. He runs at 10%, so clear the mobs on the beach first. Rank 5 is freaking hard. You need at least a 40 tank, healer, and yourself. The tunic is worth it though, great stats and hand to hand mod. Hope this helps Tildin
