1  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: FD 2.0 to arrive GU #3 on: October 07, 2007, 04:44:21 PM
Basically one monk would fd after pulling  a couple mobs..when mob ran/walk(walk in eq1 mainly)the monk would stand re agro then fd again..eventually one of the mobs would  be far enough away where you could safely grab it and bring it.
We generally played with 1 mob till we got seperation is all. This was mainly used in group setting and sometimes took a little time.Lull was always a option but most groups felt the risk was not worth it as lull when failed mobs would agro everytime on resist
However it was always faster with 2 or more monks in a raid setting because one could agro one or 2 other mobs and pull them away from the one the other monk would pull.

we will still have a problem with that, how many times your gonna fail fd while trying that ?? raiding= mobs lvl 50-56 and hit very hard

i heard that warriors will get most of GU3 dont know if monks will get fixed in GU3, dont want to put you guys down  Tongue but think maybe GU4 or later devs will try looking more into us

can you ask taliskar if there will be fd+ gear atleast, in RI palace area i sometimes get 3 fd fails in a row usauly once though so thats like 50% success on lvl52+ and the penalty on fd 2.0 is too high if the mob is higher lvl, especialy in raids.
4  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Class DPS tests on: October 05, 2007, 07:08:40 AM
old= meant played since beta 2 and experieced

I understand the issue, lets say the ranger class lead sandbaged the tests, and didn't go all out, or didn't use a fighting style representative of all rangers.  Now the classes will be balanced based on a sub par rangers dps.  So monks may only get a 15% boost to dps when we really needed a 25-30% boost.

thats what i am trying to say, if we gonna get fixed based on this dps test we wont see happy monks.

well.... some class leads are old but tbh you just cant say they know how to play their own class because i have been with most of them thats why all i am trying to say is... test should be given on 3-4 players of the same class and beleive me you will find different numbers

Question for QTM....

was the test done only with class leads for example when the test was made there was one ranger being tested, cause results may differ depending on the person too.
7  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: What monks could use (besides ballancing) is new abilities. on: September 26, 2007, 04:29:01 PM
i love the double attack idea but the % is too high when used with abilities maybe 20% is more than enough, if this thing goes live we will be eating a nerf the next week hehe Tongue

-maybe a passive ability that has a % on crits that stuns for 2 sec + interupts spells

-and another passive ability that gives +dmg + crit when mob health goes below 50% and increases when mob hps becomes less

this thread being very intresting keep the ideas coming please  Smiley
8  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: question on drop spells on: September 19, 2007, 05:03:12 PM
dps would be too high with celerity + bard song too i hit minimum of 20k when both on and bard equiped with good modifier, jin sure is a good idea but  tbh i want things like new abilities or improved ones like aums for example.
9  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: question on drop spells on: September 18, 2007, 08:55:47 AM
i dont want to see a group fd as an ability it doesnt make sense to fd your group, will there be any thread for ideas before putting the abilities live or even in test ?
10  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: **** READ ME***** Raid testing monks: Regarding FD, Rez and Raids on: September 17, 2007, 06:10:12 PM
not only that our mez will be useless too, i think the should nerf the stones not the monks and our fd is still broken so after seeing this i dont want the fd fixed lol
11  Monk Discussion / Monk General / question on drop spells on: September 14, 2007, 03:32:20 PM
since we get one ability from mobs does that mean we get new abilities from drops in rahz inkur or we dont? rangers get 3 different abilities and we get only one, we dont buffs so i dont think their will be any drops for us.i am a bit confused here so can you (QMT) make it clear for me?
12  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Thundering Fists Bugged! on: September 08, 2007, 02:03:34 PM
the only time thundering fist hits less than it should is when a mob hp's is less than the acutal hit for example if a 2 dot mob is in its last bubble i wont hit for the max dmg but less
13  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Looking for community input on P.E.H. chain on: August 03, 2007, 02:29:11 AM
maybe add crit+ on this abilities since most abilities on all classes has another crit%  and status doesnt have an effect
14  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Monk Wish List on: May 28, 2007, 04:50:40 PM
