1  Monk Discussion / Monk Quests / Re: Level 50 Swamp armor (Quest starts at 45) on: May 30, 2007, 01:48:47 AM
It seems it's still quite a mess.
Not all armor parts are in game yet no. But that might very from type to faction.

There are a few options on the table for what to do with the crafting recipe situation. It was never intended for a crafter to have to be a level 45+ adventurer in order to obtain and utilize the recipe.

Will have one of the solutions in place either today or tomorrow as well as revising the armor sets (such as making them all level 50 armor as well as making them more enticing, comparatively). The events within the Shrine of Hegnerian are *ALMOST* complete as well.

There is a team of designers here working diligently on raid content, and they've been doing an awesome job and have a lot planned. With that being said, the raids that were originally planned for the Gorgalog Swamp are being implemented as group content (which doesn't affect any of the already-implemented content, but does mean the breastplates will be made available much sooner).

I've got quite a list of items to address, so I thank you all again for taking the time to offer your feedback / complaints / compliments - I try to take everything into consideration (within reason, of course!).

I hated Phinny with a passion. 31 kills before dropping the piece for my Wizzy epic. It seemed like every other kill netted the Bard piece though.../grumble

It took me 42 attempts to get my piece for the wizard epic  crazy2

Pretty much spot on.

I wish they would forget about the AE - it's really only a fluff thing and to be honest at lvl 50 I can kill 2 green 2dots but even then I have troubles with end using your aes..it's quite stupid really.

I use the thousand fist finishers mostly. It's the one that has the best accuracy and damage. If I only miss once on PEH I am SOL.

I was very dissapointed. Because I get less crits, I relied more on regular attacks and Boundless fists+6th dragon strike specificaly. And those are very expensive. Are we ok with the costs?

I don't have much troubles with crits but I agree that the endurance specially on 6th dragon strike feels high.

I wish - it's a bit too far and too expensive for me Sad

huh?

he said they are not SUPPOSED to be affected. That means currently they are but shouldn't be..

Yes, you can change your styles with a quest at any time.
7  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Dragon Monk Issues 2.0 on: May 20, 2007, 08:06:13 AM
Hmmm. now that you mention it - I am not 100% sure either.

However I think I recall QTM stating that it shouldn't be affected by stats.
Could we have an official statement on this Quinn?

The heal was always quite weak but I don't think they intended to give as a really good heal anyway. One of the reason I chose Kojani Monk is the second racial heal I get on top of the one we have as monks.
I don't have it in the list per se because I don't think the heal as it is now is a real issue. It certainly belongs in the "nice to have" list if we were asking for a better heal.

Either way, an official statement on the issue would be nice.

It's an old bug that has been reintroduced with the latest patch (both secrets and our heal are supposed to be hardcoded and shouldn't take any stats into consideration)

Carpenter make ships. They have to be bought/ordered from them.

Quinn, can you have them take a look at your overall evasion too? I still feel, even though we are a dps classe that monks should be the master of evasion. Base evasion should def be looked at it and is imo currently one of the problems we can't really solo well.

I don't think anything can touch those early EQ raids.  That's truly where raiding got it's start in my opinion.  Watching the single file line of us running out of vox or naggy's room was always hilarious with the limited resist gear that was available at that time.

Still remember the first time i run into a brownie camp at around lvl 5  >_<
Our first fear raid
How much I hated Phinigel camping
so many memories...

However I think the first MMO you play sticks with you and is special in terms that nothing can get that feeling back. No matter what you played first, it will have that special place in your heart.

That said, I really think our overall avoidance needs a boost..
14  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Aum Kor on: May 15, 2007, 06:59:38 AM
It does apply the refresh of 25%. You can actually compare the refresh of your skills with and without Aum Kor.
Also, I got my 2.25 speed fists with the help of aum kor and haste gear under 2 secs.
15  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Aum Kor on: May 15, 2007, 06:49:27 AM
Aum Kor doesn't list spell damage.
Secondly where do you get the idea that it doesn't do anything?

It does indeed reduce the refresh rate of your skills and adds the haste on top of it.
