16  Monk Discussion / Monk Tactics & Techniques / Re: melee evasion on: December 14, 2007, 09:04:31 PM
My personal testing had numbers pointed roughly to that, as did Sung's,  3 seperate sources are saying roughly the same thing. While not an official notification I think we can make a leap of logic.

I agree my comments were a touch generalized, and not neccessarily directed at a particular persons playstyle Sergius, please don't think I was specificly targeting you with those comments.

As I dont want to derail the current thread's topic I'll start a new thread looking for feedback on Drunken Style post GU3.3

with this patch its next to impossible for drunken to hold agro like before, but they are now very useful for raid buffing hate.

Look, Since the patch I've not had any problems holding aggro when I wanted to.  Players that are complaining just want a spammable jeering kick. F.Y.I. Foolhardy swagger is self targetable, and is an effective taunt IMO. The mode of tanking has changed across the board. You just aren't going to be able to lock a mob down with 1 move anymore.

Completely unrelated to Fujitsu's quote, I do recognize the need for dragons to get some additional love.
The how is the thing.

Some of the stuff mentioned I already had down (Mitigation back to the "Old" way. Dragon Breath upgrade ( I dont think this got the damage upgrade I had talked about.) , Sun Dragon's Corona needs to be changed.

The bug in question is that the secrets stop you from performing your attack animations  and replace them with a wimpy jab like one.

Still have wave hands in the clouds and northwind breaks the trunk. :-/

goading slap line was only upgraded for the first skill, the other 3 are identical
gs1 = 400 hate
gs2 = 400 hate
3 = 800
4= 1600

more to come im sure, good overall so far

Fujitsu, I am pretty sure we will have to get a GM to force you to relearn your abilties.

The whole 0 mitigation thing was oringally intended to give a "glass cannon" effect. I would like to see the oriignal mitigation penalty come back (meaning a percent of your current mitigation. not as a whole number) . I havent seen any movement on that though. I however, will keep asking about it.

I'll keep it as part of "Operation: Dragon Stuffz" Ive been working on.

Howdy gang,

Please use this thread to document bugs from the most recent patch GU3.2 / 3.3.  The monk pretty much is reborn in here so have at it, and let me know if something just isnt right.

25  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Raid Arguement on: December 12, 2007, 07:42:23 AM
I am happy converting the skill has kept it usefull.

I'll ask around if the duration of rescues is going to be a fixed across the board or if they will allow variations. If it's the latter I will try and extend Jeering Kick to 5 in order for a monk to re-gain aggro. I agree that 2 attacks may not be enough time to lock things back down.

... for now it will be:  how fast  can you spam Waning Palm.

As I said on the SoE boards. People are going to need to learn aggro management skills.

I've had single target dragon attack line on the "To Do" list for a while. Since APW is wrapping up I'll see if I can get some type activity on this soon.

or the stars just could be imbued with Jin.

I'll ask Tiraslee if they are the "finished" version.

The goal was to get them pushed in to the latest test build asap so that it can go live with everything else.

We pick a defensive target to transfer hate to, use the skill (is it a passive buff we can leave on say the main tank) or an active skill where each time we press it it generates large ammounts of hate to all mobs in ae towards the defensive target?

Pretty close

Basicly it's a targetable aggro buff It will add, 10,12, 14 percent more hate tword D target to all mobs within 10m of the D Target. (I dont think it will actually come up on the buff bar though it will be on test soon enough though to find out.)

The upside: You now have an effective tool  to manage aggro every 30 seconds as you can heap additional hate to your D target. This will be usefull while tanking or in group / raid situations where you want to pile as much hate on a particular player as possible.

Downside: It doesn't force aggro anymore and if a mob has 0 hate toward someone 10% of 0 is still 0. You cant passively control that anymore.

I hate the fact that Jeering Kick is going to take a hit but the gains of Foolhardy Swagger are rather nice. (in theory)
