I'm doing the same right now. Leaving my monk in the garage untill Sigil actually stops boosting the most powerful classes in-game and starts taking a look at the broken ones who have been givin rats asses to get by all this time.
Playing a necro now (only lvl 15) but hell i'm allready having a blast mowing through 3 dots 2-3 levels higher than me, sometimes even 2 at a time!

Combo that always works for me is 'Punch that causes staggered' (cant remember the name) Jin Surge 'Cresent kick' BAM always a crit that opens up abilities 90% of the time because the kick exploits the weakness + has jin surge that gives the entire group a dps boost on their next hit.
exploit it as much as you can and you will be exploding with jin, enough to jin surge every single time its available.
On the contrary of most monks i barely use ashen hand, i think it sucks O.o it does too little damage, doesnt exploit any common weakness and it costs too much jin that i can use to boost my entire groups dps which ultimatly pushes out more dps than a single ashen hand, specially if you have dotters or a sorc.

In combination with a rogue you can almost replace a psio. Both have a 30 second stun and if you coordinate with a buddy rogue and tank these stuns are a HUGE advantage. Tank pulls 3, Monk stuns one, rogue stuns one. Finish off tank mob. 2 mobs become active, Monk FD and stuns the mob that isnt engaged. 1 mob left, have at it ^^
Its a great skill and yes, most people dont know about nerve strike and monks complaining about it being broken etc can really kiss my ass and reroll =P

I noticed my character does another emote If I get the last hit in with a skill, which look kinda cool. Like a kick to the face instead of a roundhouse kick, or a double fisted punch ot the chest instead of the boxing emote.
Though I wouldn't mind if meditate got another type of emote other than sitting like everyone else. It looks stupid lol.

I'm not persé disappointed, more like, anxious to the brink of impatient. Which is a bad habit I know ^^
I'm glad they are working on it but earlier today I saw how much my monk is hurting.
Right infront of my eyes a lvl 25 ranger was soloing two lvl 25 3dots at the same time and won using nothing but melee. His gear wasn't that good either. I (lvl 26) decided to try the same and waited for another patrol of those mobs and attacked them.
I could FD after 20 seconds of fighting and not even killing 1 mob ... That hurts, and its frustrating so pardon me for seeming a little pushy =)

Well atleast The weapon dmg for skills is nice. Bought myself 2 Ancient Fistwraps 22,6 dps each and adding 12 dex each along with 63hp for only 50 silver. I tried them in TK (im lvl 26 Drunken) and I have to say even while bringing up wraps from 0 to max, I do alot more damage than using unarmed. Allthough the wraps have a high dps for around my lvl I'd say.
BTW, anyone else find it pretty unfair we have to pay twice the price dual wield? The market needs to realise they cant just charge a dual wield weapon for the price of a one handed or 2 handed weapon O.o

I had some trouble with this 'scream' ability. Sometimes it buggs and all my skills have a green edge around it and are ready to use (i dont even think it consumes endurance) but when i try to do any type of attack, my character doesnt want to do it. So basically all my attacks are available but he wont execute them for some reason untill i use a buff.
These 'screams' have also made my reaction bar go completely haywire. Dropping skills out of the list, putting duplicate skills in my bar so i have 2 flying kicks instead of 1 flying and 1 thousand fist. The only way to solve it is to relog.

It has been like that as far as I can remember. The stance however isn't noticable AT ALL.
The bug I'm fed up with is that my Reaction Bar (the one with your finishers and advanced finishers) always screw up after a while. Usually its my flying kick icon that just vanishes and no longer activates in my hotbar either. Or sometimes flying kick will replace my thousand fists icon so i can no longer perform thousand fists.
The ONLY way i know how to solve this is to relog, which sucks in dungeons. And it seems to be worse than ever this weekend.

I want the graphic back on my Defenders martial staff. Now it looks like a one handed toothpick that casters run around with while a caster was swinging it around in one hand the other day.
They got mixed up.

Allthough I recognise the problem i do not think your solutions are all that good. In my limited opinion (lvl 26 Drunk Monk) you seem to pull too much of other styles under harmony as in Harmy should have all while drunk and dragon only get half a pie each.
Monk needs a revamp that is for sure, but I do want to keep the 3 styles. It's really simple. Dragons = best dps out of the 3 styles + amazing AoE's Harmony = Buff and debuff of self and enemy, 2nd best dps out of the 3 Drunk = least dps focused style of the 3 (allthough still at lvl with other offensive fighters, but with a much much greater mitigation/avoidence and aggro managing skills (like aggro pull skills, stuns, aggro increase/decrease for defensive targets etc)
thats what it should be like if anything imho =)

I'm lvl 24 and i saw it highlight maybe 10 times total and it never made any difference. Neither is goading slap, more often than not I'M the one getting aggro from it rather than my defensive target O.o

Thank you for clearing that up. I still have some mustard to stirr in though.
Are drunken monks going to get any loving? Right now the class is absolutely broken and has no purpose whatsoever in a group. We can not do what our style is supposed to do being off-tanking (due to a suicidal stance and a sucky margen of avoidence) and we can not help guiding hatred in groups due do seriously underpowered aggro skills. Getting aggro is easy with the kick, but if we can't off-tank decently whats the point of doing so?
Playing a monk is cool and all but some lovem ight be good. The no end cost for counters is a step in the right direction =)
