16  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Suggested monk changes on: March 06, 2008, 06:46:11 AM
Same here, the dual wield bonus would be nice, but beware of side effects :
If there are such bonuses, what about 2 handers ? they would become obsolete with such an upgrade of dual wielding.
That would mean even less options for weapons for monks.
Before looking at such potential changes, it would be nice to see how they deal with weapon speed as promised for a future patch : it would change a lot the mechanism of dual wielding and two handers.
Would the procs scale according to weapon speed ? same for the special attacks, woudl their damage scale according to it ?
That would mean a major change in weapon balance, and so asking for such an upgrade could either mean : minimum effect or a too big buff to dps.

I personaly never use dual wielding, as i dont understand how to compare their damage with my two handers.

I totaly agree with Ronmaru.

I have no fanatical devotion to a style or another.
It seems Harmony is the most usefull style today, i'll change it tomorow if dragon gets all the upgrades you're asking for, even if i know it would mean a huge nerf later on.
What's all that trouble around Dragon Monks ? if you dont like the style go drunken or harmo.
If you want to stay dragon then make reasonable claims (not a claim asking for 10 times more DPS for exemple) and wait.
Please dont ask for a nerf of the class as a whole because you want to satisfy your wishes regarding your view on the class.

Could you also post the stats ? They're supposed to be updated with GU4 no ?
19  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Monk Bugs/Issues (no DRAMA) -- Post GU3 on: February 28, 2008, 07:30:36 AM
Like i said in my post, Tiger stance penalty is seemless if you have end regen.
The penalty of the crane stance will be removed as you level up.
At level 30 it goes down to 10% i think, and sometime later to 0%
20  Monk Discussion / Monk Gear & Equipment / Re: Crafted gear 40-50 on: February 28, 2008, 06:29:21 AM
I've come to think that + avoidance (or parry or dodge) wasnt really usefull.
Should i always favour +HP over + avodance ? (again in regards to pulling).
Also, what about + mitigation gear ? how much + mitigation is worth in regards to + HP ?
Is there a lot of +HP + Mitigation gear ?
Is resist gear usefull too ?
Sorry for these questions, but crafted gear is sooo expensive that i need to choose wisely as i wont have a second chance :-/

Khana, do you think "plain" pariah is better than pariah of health ?
And if not, what continental effect would be the best ?
How much unbuffed HP should i aim for APW ?
What jewelry ? Cloak ? Weapons ?
All these questions are in regards to pulling in APW

Harmony Bug :
- Different levels of eagle claw can stack.

Harmony Issues/Concerns :
- Stances :
The Crane stance is probably the best for most levels, as the end reduction is priceless especialy when soloing.
At higher levels, the benefits are not noticeable if you have some sort of end regen buff.
Worthless unless soloing or tanking 5+ dots

The tiger stance penality is too harsh at low levels and unless you get end regen, it results in a loss of DPS. The defensive bonus is not very noticeable. At higher levels, the penalty is seemless, but since with buffs and stuff you could reach the crit cap, the crit benefits might not add anything (as this been confirmed ?)
Worthless unless having access to end regeneration. Might be worthless if crit cap is reached.

The harmonious stance is nice for travels. That's all.
23  Monk Discussion / Monk Quests / Quest Hubs past level 40 on: February 05, 2008, 08:49:29 AM
Hi all,
I'm now level 38 duoing with a Disciple, we've chained quest hubs to level, and as i look on the net, it seems we're going to have to stop and go exp grinding to level when we'll finish the quest series in Southwatch/river palace/Dragon's Backbone.
Anyone could point me some good quest hubs to go to after i finished my current ones ?
Or is there any open areas with plenty of 4 dots as this is the best for exp grinding for our duo.
Any help would be appreciated Smiley

He said they'll revamp the +FD items replacing the °FD by "other cool stuff for monks and disciples" ...
Wonder what that means ?

Tell us LE's secret !!!
Back in the EQ days of AB, we used to say that we need only 2 french speaking people to make 3 guilds.
LE was the only dutch speaking guild and did really well (top 10 raiding guilds on a VERY raiding concurential server). I always wondered how you managed to deal with the hardcore raiders and the family style players in the same structure Smiley
Long live to LE Smiley

An impressed gamer

29  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Website not work safe ? on: January 16, 2008, 06:51:07 AM
Working for a very big company in France, every game site in french is blocked, but so far no game site in english have been blocked Smiley
I guess that if the guys in charge of blocking the access spoke english they would be doing another job  Grin

Regarding the original question, is there someone runing the site ? (from an IT point of view)
