I wouldn't be lurking the monk boards, my disciple friend wouldn't be coming here to tell everyone he's sexy, and my shaman wouldn't come here trying to convince me that he doesn't train us he just tries to pull.

I felt it needed to be said. 

On a more serious note, I think we kind of got away with not needing a pure Defensive tank to 50 but I'm fairly sure that wont be the case as the game goes forward either.  I played a monk in Beta and if it were me, I'd like to see the Drunken become an offensive fighter first,  and tough off-tank / puller second.  But again that'd be what I'd like, not sure how you all feel.

I'm pretty sure I remember Jojo saying she thinks Disciples need like 10x more DPS and even MORE medium armor drops and weapons with healer stats because they're so sexy.  Please listen to her devs.

Skill in the weapon type makes a difference.  If you have a better weapon, but only 1 skill, it will almost certainly show lower DPS.  I know this because I'm working up my skills now =P

Vitality I would say is the one stat you really want to be sure and max.  Bigger heals are just all kinds of goodness =)  After that, it's up to you.  If you only want to solo and do max DPS (for a healer mind you, you'll never do monk DPS), you could focus on Str and Dex.  For grouping though, you'll want to put points into Wisdom and then Dexterity for more crits.

Personally I go max Vitality, max Wisdom and then the majority of the left overs go to Dex with a tiny bit into Str.

You're not doing anythnig wrong, Kiss of Heaven is buggy.  It will seemingly at random drop.  Look for this to be fixed in upcomming patch notes before you rely on it.

You can do more than one bond.  For instance you can do a harmonious (beneficial) bond on an ally, and a dissonant (harmful) bond on a mob.  I believe it's only 1 per mob, but not positive.  The higher you level, the more bonds you can hold, supposedly.  So try using touch of woe on a mob, and gift of anguish on a friend in group, preferably a melee dps person or tank. 

At 30, I use touch of woe on fast hitting mobs, leech on trash mobs and touch of ox on really tough mobs.  If you're fighting more than one, it's a good idea to put touch of woe on the one you're not fighting, so by the time you get to him, he'll be a bit lower on health.
