Monks are able to solo pull.  Confirmed in Rahz Inkur.  FD nerve strike works but just takes a while to split a 3 pull.

Yeah I use a macro that switches me to Crane to apply Deadly Adder then macros me back to Tiger.

Only ability that uses a lot of endurance even w/ cleric renewal I deplete my endurance pretty fast with all my debuffs.

Usually I can up keep with all of them while doing other attacks.

Once you get Aum Ti, Tiger stance is a lot more manageable. 

I currently only use 2, 41dps handwraps and I crit easily for 3k+ on Flying Kick/Kick of Heavens/Celestial Kick of Master.  Easily crit for 5k with Thousand Fists chain.

30% Crit chance at level 50 is insane.  I chain about 4 out of 5 abilities.

Casters will always have a lot more solo-capabilities, look at every other MMO.  Casters especially necromancers are VERY GOOD soloers.  Should monk be the same? I will have to disagree. 

Yes monks did get a huge avoidance/mitigation nerf but once you adjust and get used to it I don't seem to notice it anymore.  I went from soloing my levels efficiently to finally just sucking it up and grouping.  Do I enjoy grouping now? Yes I do.  Did I ever expect myself to be able to efficiently solo 3 dots? no.  You just need to play your character right.

I can efficiently solo level 48 - 50 2 dots not a problem, sometimes my health ends up at 80% sometimes 40%. 

At level 50 being harmonious monk, I EASILY out DPS my group.  With Maginicient Tiger and a 30% crit rate, I always chain and I always dish out insane damage whether it be Flying Kick line, or Thousand Fists. 

I easily can tank a 4 and 5 dot named duoing with a Disciple with just my Crane stance.

In my opinion monks are somewhat where they are supposed to be but not entirely because some of our abilities are still broken and some stances are still broken, eventually we will get there.  I just laugh everytime I go to SV and a see another monk ranting about how low dps they are and how gimp they are because I tell you that monks are not gimp at all.

I believe I only proc'd 3 times the entire night last night when we were doing a dungeon crawl that was about 4 hours.

So the rate is definently not amazingly higher.

Monks are getting huge changes in the past few weeks, and I am sure there is more to come.  I was already happy with where we were after the combat ability change, and with all the new stuff I see on test server patches makes me happy in my pants.

Though I agree that VG has a lot of lacking at the moment, but then again it was pushed 3 months early.  I am just eargerly waiting for end game content and soon enough it will be fulfilled.

Once they turn off particle effects that is.  Sick of 6 fps on a raid with 12 people.

New stats are gimp as SNARF.

I had the same pair of hand wraps that were once 44 dps pre-patch, now 38 dps post patch.

I was struggling to find mats for the 58 dps one all night before the patch but no one wanted to give up mats for phat cash Sad

It's okay though, Rahz Inkur drops handwraps and they said they are buffing Rahz items according to Cylus so I will wait for those Tongue

Either that or wait for T5 Heoric once they fix the recipe.

Jin Surge works just fine, and it's actually AE of the radius not group only.  Dunno if the reading says allies in area or group in area.

And whirling storm is useful in certain situations.

I was AE grinding many levels ago with DoTers in my group.  I would macro Jin Surge and their DoT's would crit for pretty good damage, then with my Crane stance and cleric renewal I was able to spam AE. 

So yeah those 2 abilities are pretty useful in certain situations.

FD is a pretty HUGE issue in my opinion.  Rather annoying when we are raiding Rahz Inkur and there are 8 non-CC mobs.  There is no way to even split it.  FD is a lot of loving nice the fact that my last FD has no cool down, but the fact I rare FD off red mobs?  Make's it useless when the mobs im fighting are lvl 52+.

Also the abilities they listed on the combat ability change didn't get changed.  IE Celestial Kick of the Master, and the Three Finger chain.

Also they need to itemize quests/mob drop some lvl 45+ weapons for monk/disc.  I really don't want to be using a 2h weapon as the only awards I've seen that is decent using is the Zaraj Arena.  The weapons I am using now are crafted weapons which let me say I have to pay a lot of money for and I think it's ridiculous.

chains were broken before, if you clicked on a chain it wouldnt refresh it to the first before.  they seemed to have fixed it though.  it doesnt stay on your adv finisher but does go back to your 1st finisher now.

yeah mine is probably a lot different from everyone since i use a g15 primary for the hotkeys.

lets me play with my face rested on my hand and elbow on table while i just push hotkeys with my left hand :p

lazy mode imo.

im not a big fan of using ctrl/alt/shift + buttons feels weird on my hands.

well this is what i mean.

i would do a lot more dps with my kicks at the moment then the palm explode heart chain.

they said in the combat ability they added direct weapon/melee damage to three finger strike/hammering fists which they didnt, meaning the chain is pretty useless if im using it just to do the DD at the end.

at lvl 50, harmonious monks get a 3rd upgrade to flying kick.

im doing 1.2 - 2k 3k crits per kick chaining it 3 times vs palm exploding heart which does 2k non crit, 3k non crit.

think that is what i was aiming at with my last post.

well since we dont have to crit abilities anymore, basically its ez mode now :p

but yeah, the time it takes to chain the first 2 then to use exploding heart, i could have been using flying kick > kick of the heavens a few times.

it'd be nice if they made exploding heart a debuff as well.  that would make it worth using.
