Hello everyone!

Let me be the first to welcome you to Vanguard Monks!  My name is Kaji, and I'm the website and forum administrator for this site.  I started Vanguard Monks in an effort to bring the Monk community together in a place where we can all share information and knowledge.  I have planned out some exciting changes to take place as Vanguard is released.  As that date approaches, I will be gathering information from both in-game and outside sources to bring you the most comprehensive website for the monk class with exclusive content, class guides, newbie guides, ability lists, and more.

About me...  I'm what you would call an "adult" gamer with tons of MMORPG experience - all the way back to the release of Ultima Online.  Back in '98 I participated in the Everquest beta, which was my home for many years.  My favorite character was an Iksar Monk named Enikk on the Tribunal server, who I played for the majority of my time in EQ.  As I progressed through the game, I was a part of several guilds - including Circle of Pride, Phalanx.  I had the distinct pleasure of being main puller for a number of large raids and guild events.  When things went bad, I was main corpse puller.   

I have been anxiously awaiting the release of Vanguard for several years.  Fortunately, I was invited into Beta 2, where I started my first character - an Orc monk named Kaji.  Since then I've played all of the classes, but my plan has always been to go back to my roots, and play a monk at release.  So, a couple of weeks ago I had the idea for this site.  A few days later, Sigil announced that the main forums would be closing - putting my plans into overdrive.
