Im not gonna lie, i booted on you a couple time. Im a passionate monk myself. Having monk as an offensive fighter (finally again) was one of the biggest reasons i came over to vanguard. I apprciate the work on your side to get us 'heard' but as always, the way you go about it is the biggest concern. I have been the OMG this class sucks guy (wardens in eq2 prior to them dumbing everything down) and then im here patiantly waiting a fix, 20 shaman lfg We still have a long ways to go imo, but I am almost positive VG's nerf to monks wasn't something on purpose. I think that they wanted to get the rouge finished before they started making changes to other offensive fighters. They seem to be pasionate developers with alot of knowledge in makeing and running MMO's. My favorite part of VG is the constant communication. Between the weekly roundups and the very consistant postings from devs makes it easier to wait imho. But you deserve a thank you from all of us in working to get things fixed "faster" then I/we would have imagined. Hopefully with some more tweaking we can all enjoy the monk we signed on to be.

Has any of this hit live servers yet? Talk about jumpin the gun. Its only been what 2 weeks of dealing with the evasion nerf. I grinded my monk all day sunday. Ran Tengral keep all day and never had a single issue with FD goin bad, or having to stun an add, or pick one up and switch stance and drunk monk tank. Patience, let them drop the dps increase to LIVE servers, and see what is said or what happens after that that would define sigil doing nothing and in your thoughts so to speak, damning the class forever.
Considering we really just got attention from a dev last week and now have a start to a fix so soon. I think a thank you is in order for them to pick this up so quickly after having to deal with pushing the rouges out. Devs come here, I hate having them see such random jack assery saying there not doing their jobs when they can really only try to fix us a little at a time so they don't go screwin us up even more.
Make an alt, thats what i did, now i got a 20 shaman, and a pretty fun monk.

What QTM is saying is that the other class's need to WORK to out DPS US, not the other way around. WIth our current position of 3rd on the totem pole.... this is not right. We should be outputting much more dmg then what we are doing now. Monks should be doing constant sustained good DPS, while rangers tend to start dropping bombs at the end of fights, while rogues get their DMG increased while working on maintaining stealth through the entire battle. Where he says HUGE CHASM OF DPS would entice me to believe that the rogue and ranger do far more dmg then the monk outright atm, not having to work at all to exceed our maximum output.

dinged 22, got the ability, went to try it out, but it replaced flying kick on my reaction bar. Logging on now i am able to do the ability 1 then it is replaced by the kick of heavens again. Anyone else have this issue. I had DroxUI, but I went back to defaults still and im still having the issue.
Also is nerve pinch an out of combat ability on purpose? So if im not mistaken we can only do it to mobs that are non-aggro?

Aye, my favorite grinding spot right now is the 21 3 dot ants near renton keep. Basic melle, but i can down the stirges near twin lakes as well as some hobgolbins in the scar area, adds galore in there though.

I have seen no problem with the new evasion setup on my drunken monk, I can still solo lvl 21 3 dots with minimal issues, maybe FD'ing every 5 or 6th one due to luck of the draw miss's.
I do have issues pulling aggro as a drunken monks in groups atm though. Even with my non-aggression stances. I honestly fight in drunken stance all the time now due to that fact. I don't see the use to switch stances on 2 dots cause i can down them just as fast as i could with any other stance.
My other concern is why do i get more atk pwr barefisted with lvl 19 weaps at 21? Not sure if it was this patch or not, but i noticed today with all the equipment issues when i first logged on. I now use barefists on my main hand and a handwrap as my off hand. Can anyone clear that up, the off hand is 11.11 dmg

I usually go the 10% haste 5% dodge when im grouped, and not tanking. I have a hard time as it is peeling from the tank to go the +10% dmg +25% aggro, nor do i need the 30% dodge while not really getting hit, if im not critting all to much.
Try the +dmg one, soloing. The +haste with the right pace of abilities while in group. And the +30% dodge when your the tank.
I will say this, me and a cleric friend can take on 8-10 mobs at a time while im in the +30% dodge stance doing constant AOE spam, as well as doing your AOE finisher then you can as well. I never have issues of him getting aggro.
