22  Monk Discussion / Monk Tactics & Techniques / Re: Updated Skills List (game update 3.2) Table formt on: January 07, 2008, 10:47:47 PM

23  Monk Discussion / Monk General / How important is intelligence now? on: December 30, 2007, 01:39:06 AM
With the changes to the secerts, how important is intelligence now?  Would say a Dark/Half Elf int build be somewhat feasible now as an oddball build?

Anyone know anything about dropped abilities?  I saw an upgrade for Goading Slap drop in APW so far.

26  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Monks in PVP and what needs to be changed. on: April 21, 2007, 12:49:57 AM
I do believe from the get go Sigil has said that balancing PvP will be extremely low on their priority lists.
27  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Monk Utility Idea on: April 16, 2007, 11:40:02 AM
Huge difference between counterspell and dispell.....Dispell removes a buff, counterspell disperses a spell being cast.

They took out our unique ability to push mobs out of stances, which only 0.05% of the mob population does, by giving it to rangers as well.

Bard dispell doesnt really count as its very low lvl based dispell with a 30 second refresh. After lvl 40 its almost worthless.

I don't even know if i'd consider this utility...its a nessecity to be considered the masters of dps. Need our dmg to not be reduced by 60% every mob.

Even before Rangers got Cripple tweaked it wasn't a monk only skill because disciples had Stance Wheel to push mobs out of stances too.  Also, bards get an updated dispell at 48 to take down greater enchantments and with Coda of Alacrity and a Psion's Temporal Acceleration the 20 second recast time can be cut down to 12 seconds.

Robe of Transcendance an "ok" Monk/Disc only robe.

29  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Drunken Monk Style at 50, my thoughts. on: April 12, 2007, 11:59:15 PM
Well actually I suppose it is doable,  Virtual Fighter is rated Teen and Shun Di uses drunken kung-fu and more he drunk the stronger he got.  Though if drunken style was monkey style instead while it would take some of the "coolness" out of it, it would open up some more possibilities.  And Drunken monkey is a generally accepted variation of monkey style.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monkey_Kung_Fu  Also it's a bit of pun, but the named monkey would flow better with the Dragon and Crane styles. Oh wells, doen't much matter.  Would probably be too much work to rewrite all the abilities and would piss off to many fans for them to change it.

Anyways, sorry for this off topic rambling.

Unfortunately the game is rated T.  Though yes it would be nice, correct me if I'm wrong, but that makes heavy drinking is a no no.
