Its amazing for splitting mobs as well if you are having trouble splitting them the conventional way.

Example:

Pull 2 mobs than Feign Death when they are close to you, Nerve strike one. Pull the other mob back to your group and then feign death again. You will lose all aggro on the one you nerve striked and he will walk back to his location after the nerve strike wears off rather than coming and attacking you and your group.

I set my bind location outside of Cae'Brail (sp?), ran up to Jalens Crossing, jumped in river and picked the flower than recalled to CB than ran to quest giver. Pretty simple. Fastest way I can think of since the quest giver is very close to the CB Binding stone.

Nope, not true Janner. All monks get Feign Death. You get it at lvl 10 I believe. At least thats when I remember getting it, someone correct me if I am wrong.

I agree it is a great way to drop aggro as I find myself pulling aggro off the tank quite often with my monk. Monks also get a punch ability as well that decreases threat.

Anyway, about feign death, I find it to fail more often when you have a lot of mobs right on top of you pounding on you. Seems to work better if you can get away and then use it. Also, the level of the mob effects the success rate as well from what I can tell.

Are you stuck to one style once you choose it?

I thought I heard you can change your style when you want to.  Iwould assume it would just take doing the quest for that specific style you are switching to that you would normally do at level 15.

Any info on this would be great.

I am also planning on going Harmonious. I have a level 15 Harmonius Monk in Beta and I believe they will be a better aid to group play with their debuff abilities. I haven't gotten past 15, nor am I going to in beta, but this outlook on it may change as  I progress through the levels.

Just my 2 cents. I dont know all the abilities each discipline has but by looking at only the description it seems that Harmonious sounds more suited to group play imo.

From my understanding, the 3 top attributes for monks are...

1. Dexterity
2. Strength
3. Constitution

I am going Raki.  Been playing Raki in beta and love it. I like the smaller races in this game so it was between Raki and Goblin for me.
