Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Stats by style?

Don't forget that one of the typically overlooked but extremely important role to you with Vitality: It not only boosts your regen, it also affects how much you get healed on a heal. No it does not. There have been dev posts explain that Vit does the health / stamina regen and only effects the amount you can heal for. I looked for the dev post, but think it was on the beta boards that went bye bye. I'm a shammy now and was a cleric in beta 4 so can attest that no matter how much vit you have, you don't get healed for more. My cleric healed himself and my shaman heals himself the same as other characters and it doesn't increase or decrease based on the person's Vit. Hrm, I swear it said that in it's tooltip, but it's been more than a few weeks since I looked at it. I will look again today after work. If that is the case, then I apologize for my mistake

Don't forget that one of the typically overlooked but extremely important role to you with Vitality: It not only boosts your regen, it also affects how much you get healed on a heal. While Constitution is good for better resistances and higher resistances, you also want to make it easier on your healers by making their heals on you more efficient.
I'm not saying forego Vitality for Constitution or vice versa, but a wise decision would be to allocate some into each (to your tastes). This will important in end game. The more time people are healing you, the less time they're healing the tanks, etc.

Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Where is my Aum??

You typically have to complete 2 quests at L15 to get your Anum. Once you have completed these quests, the Anum should appear in your General skills tab.

General Topics / Vanguard General / Kojan Tanvu bindpoint

Hi all, For anyone looking for the new bindpoint near Tanvu, Kojan, it is up the hill from the Stronghold. Just follow the road and you won't miss it, it will be on your right. It looks mostly like an alter except that it will have a floating green crystal in it.

I ran into the same problem, but did figue out a solution. If you target Kiyo and /hail him he will talk to you and allow you to complete the quest.

Quickben, This worked perfectly. Thank you for the tip!

Monk Discussion / Monk General / confliction?
|
on: January 29, 2007, 12:56:57 PM
|
|
Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone could give some insight on this "confliction" state I've heard of? Basically, there are times when I'm fighting when I suddenly hear what sounds like many screams at once and many of my abilities instantly cooldown and get surrounded with a green glow.
My question(s):
1) What is this? 2) Why does it happen? 3) What triggers it?
The answers to these questions would be a very, very informative entry in the main FAQ. Thank you!

Monk Discussion / Monk Quests / Dragon Style quest bugged?
|
on: January 29, 2007, 12:21:07 PM
|
|
Hello all,
Does anyone have any information on whether the Dragon style monk quest is bugged in the latest (pre order) build? I went to Kiyo and finished the first quest to get the marching orders from the Orcs on the beach. He then sent me outside the output to beat on the Great Stone of Arakorr, which I completed. However, when I go back to speak with him to turn it in, he will not speak to me. There is a green shield with a check in it over his head, but no dialogue box will appear.
I tried dropping the quest and redoing it with the same results. I have also /bug'ed it. If anyone has any insight, I would appreciate it. I am currently L15. Thank you!
