I am going to stop here, because I know better than to defend my own class, bring on the new loot and changes.
I'm not worried about my job.

And I believe there is a 30% crit chance cap from gear, so dex is a good path for people looking to go beyond that. What APW drop are you talking about with +3% crit? Most of it is not crit chance, but crit rating making dex more useful the more apw gear you get as you are likely replacing some of your crafted +crit chance gear. I say cav is better because the loss in dex is no where close to the loss you get in STR from pariah.
I also don't think legion's choking grasp and senator's claws are that bad at all, I plan on replacing my striking wraps with them once I get the drop since it will likely be a while before I get the crafted APW wrap.
I have seen the items for other classes, but you gotta realize that our weapon damage on hand to hand items does not and should not equal damage on their weapons. It's apples and oranges.

500-600 dex is more like 14-15% crit. With my dex maxed I can reach 18.9 crit chance from dex using my cav gear. I am a Morbedi though, so I guess it does depend on your race a little. Are you at 300-400 int unbuffed? with Dex>Str>con gear i hit 580 str and 900 raid buffed
Also there is no such thing as Dex > Str > Con gear unless you are talking about world drops, pariah is dex>con>str str being the lowest. which is why I dropped my pariah gear.

Race isn't that important, you can max out two stats.
I would max out STR/DEX personally, and then split the rest between int and con but I am not a harmonious monk, and even if I was I would probably use defensive stance and not crit stance. With crafted gear and max dex you should be near crit cap anyways, and the endurance hit you take on your crit stance is nasty and gonna hurt you somewhere either exploiting weaknesses, slapping your tank, or pushing stances.
200 INT is a good goal, so depending on your race you might not have to put much in there.
I would go dex though, since at end game I would recommend Cav gear over pariah for monks, since the str hit you take on pariah is pretty heavy.

Monk Discussion / Monk Tactics & Techniques / Re: Nerve Strike?

Actually the nervestrike pull requires u to FD next to the mobs u want to split and thats not a recommended action in APW as mobs hit like trucks on speed (worst example so far being sky pirates of course). There are far better ways to split there than nerve strike nervestrike works like a charm in most other dungeons tho where mobs hit for a normal 1500 dmg Fix for your problem: make a macro: /cast "Storm Stride" /cast "Crescent Kick" /cast "Feign Death" You are by the mob, ready to nervestrike and soaring leap your butt out of there without getting hit.

Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: Please post GU3.2-3.3 Bugs here

-I have gotten a bug with my chains, sometimes during long boss fights where I have to FD 5+ times my chains get bugged and don't pop when they should. I even tested it with my auto crit chain forcer ability (and it didn't miss), the only way I can fix it is to FD and meditate real quick.
-There is also a bug dealing with damage shields (in my case in particular with crafted gear) where it will proc on the mob, seconds after it attacks you knocking you out of a successful FD.
- Soaring Leap sometimes gets bugged and it is like you have parachute on even when you don't, so you just float to the ground mid leap. Chunking fixes this usually, and I rarely see it in APW so not sure what causes it.
- for some reason tdragon stance sometimes sticks when I change to storm dragon so I get both effects.
I have petitioned all these, and talked with GM's about them and so far they have just said they are not intended and would submit it for me, but I thought I might as well add them here.

Monk Discussion / Monk Quests / Dragon style quest guide

Posting this for next year when I drop dragon to test out another style, and have to do this buggy quest alll over again.
The marching orders drop off of the invading orcs at the correct marker on your map you get with the quest.
Part 2:
The marker and compass are still bugged when trying to find the stone, it is really annoying cause it actually marks out a giant rock and you think you are in the right place (there is even this un-targetable npc at the top just to drive you even crazier.
The actual rock is a short distance from the Dragon style quest giver, just travel the road to the NW and the rock is on a little hill to the right of the road. It is targettable, if you are having trouble finding it just walk along the road going out from dragon temple tabbing between targets.
Couldn't find this information anywhere on the web, and the quest nearly drove me crazy. (for the 2nd time too, this thing has been bugged since launch).
But no one should play dragon monks anyways because they are horrible and smell bad... this is only for my reference in case I forget again.

Jump boot pulling is exploiting, I find it cheapens split pulling in general and I hope they fix it soon.
As for gear at 50 as a dragon monk when I go to APW I like dominion helm with full jagged crafted, end regen on peices you can get it on, accuracy on gloves, amulet of swarmleader (I don't have ToT necklace, but I like the accuracy from this necklace), 2 jagged fistwraps of striking, 2 majordomo earrings (accuracy) and a Nefarious Titanskin Cloak again with the + accuracy.
I have full lucent jewelry, but unfortunately until I get some APW drops with +accuracy I don't see myself using them.
Parsing my own damage I find that with this setup I personally do the most consistent damage. Although we have a harmonious monk in our guild who uses a staff and I think a little less accuracy but is still excellent and I love having a harm in the guild for their debuffs.

Monk Discussion / Monk Gear & Equipment / Re: Feign Death Gear?

There is nothing to add to your gear, but if you want gear to help you survive pulling in APW there is gear you can get to help you with that.
At the moment be warned before making any crafted gear that there is currently a bug involving feign death and damage shields, the damage shield procs late causing you to lose your successful FD.
This is most evident when you are FD warping (storm stride + crescent kick + FD), I discussed it with a GM and he said that this is not intended and is being worked on.. but at the moment you are best off avoiding crafted with a full continental effect on it (they all have a damage shield)
You can however get the lucent set which has + evasion and mit
as well as boon of health gear in a lot of slots (which all in all isn't that helpful since you are gonna hit for 2k+ each time, but it has saved me a couple times).
And superior crafted avoidance gear in several slots (if I don't fully upgrade the gear I don't get the damage shield part).
I also plan on making a fistwrap with earth's touch on it (-50% movement) for certain pulls where I warp pull.
Other than that depending on your choice of style you can go into defensive stance (which I guess is a no brainer), pop sun dragon's corona if you are dragon for fire elementals and tank them all day long, and generally make good use of your soaring leap.
In the end I still die a lot, but all these things do help me. Superior
