Cool thanks guys!:)

Actually there are a couple of changes that would be nice. The end cost is fine IF it only takes one push to get them out of stance. Problem is i never know if its my pushing or if their stance simply times out when i have to push 5-10 times which takes a few to do. Also be nice if they added a personal text for the pusher saying "Mob_01 lost his balance and staggered, losing his stance" or something like that so u know when it works....  idiot2

Like its now im simply not even sure if it works....of course would be nice to know the difference between a stance and a buff on the mob.... There is much confusion around this...not only from me...

35  Monk Discussion / Monk Tactics & Techniques / Re: Drunken monk dps on: January 16, 2008, 10:31:28 AM
This is depressing news guys. I was really under the impression that errant strike and celerity did double dmg x 4  Cry

Soe needs to look at this to make it actually DO double dmg x 4 when using thousand fist line  smitten

  • DPS, DPS, and DPS across teh board

~QTM

I could be just me but i dont see dps being a problem for monks. Im more than happy with my dps on raids. Me and the other monk in my guild are the ones taking most aggro from tanks. I have to FD on average 2-3 times during a trashkill to avoid getting splattered all over the walls. More dps and i would have to FD between each hit lol, which in turn would reduce my dps due to the FD time lol. I know vicus is a special case but couple of days ago i had an epic hit on him for 960k, noone else came even close to that. With the APW armor procing fists of celerity every so often i wonder if our dps is really that fubar?

So is that a yes? Monk abilities do drop in APW?
38  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: upgraded abilities from APW on: January 13, 2008, 03:10:54 AM
Oh.....didnt think monks had any dropped abilities yet! They really live?

Hoping for an FD that has a far lower chance of fail but not getting my hopes up too much  Roll Eyes
39  Monk Discussion / Monk Tactics & Techniques / Re: Nerve Strike? on: January 12, 2008, 07:29:18 AM
Actually the nervestrike pull requires u to FD next to the mobs u want to split and thats not a recommended action in APW as mobs hit like trucks on speed (worst example so far being sky pirates of course). There are far better ways to split there than nerve strike  Smiley nervestrike works like a charm in most other dungeons tho where mobs hit for a normal 1500 dmg  knuppel2

I have only tried dragon and drunken so far and after having changed to drunken i cant say i feel the urge to try harmo. I just love drunken monk when pulling APW.
1: they are much more dps on a long fight than dragon due to errant strikes and 4 hits of the thousand fists line
2: the 100% dodge for 15 seconds really makes a huge difference when pulling.

On a sidenote id like to curse SOE from here to eternity for nerfing drunken AE and single force aggro abilities  tickedoff
41  Monk Discussion / Monk General / Re: How important is intelligence now? on: January 12, 2008, 07:00:09 AM
wait till ya get hit by a sky pirate or 2
Merc Slash FTL

Lol yeah they suck....even hit through 100% dodge disc  Cry I bugreported that tho....
Thank god for protection of the sands  Roll Eyes

So do we know for a fact that INT does increase secret dmg? Ive seen some screenshots of monk armor from apw beta and it has a nice INT bonus on it....dont know if this changed tho..
42  Monk Discussion / Monk Tactics & Techniques / Re: Monk Techniques (all) on: January 11, 2008, 06:03:49 AM
Errant strikes only works when your target is targeting another groupmember, then pref a tank:)
It does very good damage.

Drunken by far outdps a dragon monk. They also have a 15 sec dodgedisc with low cooldowntimer that owns when pulling APW.

Havent tried harmo and doubt i will.
43  Monk Discussion / Monk Tactics & Techniques / Re: Jin Surge Macro on: January 11, 2008, 05:57:23 AM
I macroed this to the last ability in exploding heart line.....cant really see a difference...the bonus is minimal. It should double the dmg imo....
